if you loved lion king you'll most likely love it, user, keep in mind the pilot isn't the best and the first season is a bit repetitive, but it does get a lot better at season 2, and in season 3 things get a bit darker than usual

that's kopa, hes only canon in the comics, there was speculation that the lion cub at the end of the lion king 1 is kopa, however that was dismissed later on as disney didn't expect lion king to be so successful and put a generic cub, they rewrote it later to be kiara in the lion king 2

I watched the first three episodes the other day and first impressions were not good, coming from someone who loves The Lion King.
Animation is often questionable, the voice actors are all mediocre especially Simba, and its falling into the paradigm that my little pony did where everyone in the group is required to be different, no two of the same allowed at all

I have a 4 TB HD and kind of collect movies and TV shows so it's just something I kinda want after finding out about it.After watching Dreamworks Dragons I don't think things can get much more repetitive than that so I'll be alright, thanks for the warning though. And a dark themed lion King sounds like it would be pretty cool and really up my alley.

as i said user, it has a rough start
there are some scenes in which the animation is poorly, not gonna lie, but for most of the show its really solid, you'll see that later on, the reason why the animation is so bad at the start is due to all the animators using new technology to animate, as the show progresses you can see how they improve the animation and do unique scenes

i've only seen like 3 episodes of mlp like 5 years ago to see what the hype was about and i didn't like it
i agree that every character is unique and different, however i wouldn't call it an mlp paradigm
the show ain't for everyone, it did butcher some things up about lion king and sometimes you wonder why "character doesn't do this instead" or "why this logic doesn't really play here"
but i prefer just trying to ignore all the flaws and capture all the things they did right about the show, and hey, most of the songs are great, or atleast okay, i can only think of like 2-3 which i really hated from the total of 74 episodes that aired

i mean keep in mind it still has the constraints of being a 5+ show, but they do manage to skirt around that limitation, they have shown both on and off screen death, and they have shown blood at some point, but you can still expect some pretty tame episodes, but hey, its still lion king material

i mean i can get behind not getting the voice actors back, the first lion king came out around 25 years and keep in mind that the show doesn't have the movie's budget, i prefer the okay job they did with the voice actors if it meant we get more budget in other parts of the show
i didn't know earl was only in return of the roar, but i guess it makes sense with the amount of times they got him on screen in lion guard, too much in my opinion,
but hey, timon is the original, pumbaa's voice actor was the same one from the timon and pumbaa series i believe

I've used HDDs often and really haven't had one wear out. I typically upgrade them when they fill up though. So once this 4TB fills I'll probably double it or so.

The series isn't bad, it's just kind of repetitive. Most of the problems are solved within that episode, there's very few multi-episode story arcs. There are things that exist throughout multiple episodes, but there's very few "problems" that take multiple episodes to resolve. Which I guess given the nature of the show makes sense but when it's only twenty minutes long as an adult it's harder to get invested in the story when it's so short. Still I'd say it's worth watching if you enjoyed the dragons movies, even if just to get more of it.
