I thought it was like Star Wars. The story started at Episode IV. World War started at 2?

There was a World War 1 but it's one of the rare cases where the sequel is better.

Higher budget and production values. Once the project was taken over from the Germans by the Burgers and Vatniks it ended up in development hell. Maybe the change in ownership in America could overcome this.

What are you talking about? WW1 is pure slow kino while ww2 is just standard action drivel. I really liked the special effects near the end in the Japan scene though.

The final act in in the Pacific was boring and unnecessary. The whole Japan b-story was pointless and adds nothing to the story.

>WW1 is pure slow kino
>nothing happens: the war
>kino

Maybe so, but you got to applaud them for all the effort they put in the Iwo Jima and Midway scenes.

WWI - mindless popcorn flick
WWII - thought provocing film
Cold War - underappreciated indie kino

>watch Jaws the movie.
>look it up on wikipedia
>sharks are real

And we're back to mindless flicks with War on Terror.

>how to spot a plebeian

The series has been pretty aimless since the Gorbaciov ark tho.

>Cold War
>kino

00-20s - WW Season 1: WWI
30-40s - WW Season 2: WWII
50-80s - WW Season 3: Cold War
90s - WW on hiatus
00-10s - NEO WW Season 1: World on Terror

New season is pretty boring, but it had the strongest first episode for sure.

Whoa, when did that come out? I'm confused now
