Was this the first show that made women think they could be anything other than housewives? I see this as the first show with this 'formula' which is basically escapism for wymen. Other shows used the same formula, and sometimes even the same actors. See Bones for example, it used this formula. Strong female leading character who does whatever she wants, sexy handsome man who has a lot of sexual tension with the lead character(played by David Boreanaz like in Buffy). This shit changed everything.

Dunno but Buffy sounds like a pornstar name.

The Avengers, 1961.
Honey West, 1965.

Buffy's dream was to be a (college educated) housewife with a strong handsome husband and kids. It might teach women to be lesbian witches tough. Still a fun show.

Late 90s/early 2000s fashion was disgusting

Why did everything look so gloomy in that show? It was like watching your own dreams.

>tfw you will never be this handsome

Angel>Buffy

She looks like a monkey to be honest

Fucking this.

Would you like me to lie to you now?

>Punished Wesley
>A Watcher Deprived of his Team
"I'll take away your bucket" is one of the best lines in the show though

...

Later in the show when we get to see Wesley's arms supplier fucking kills me.

Say what you will about what a Cuck Whedon generally is but Buffy/Angel really did have balls in how it treated its characters sometimes. Wesley's arc is undeniably non-formulaic. Shame his MCU work retained all the flaws of his writing while none of his qualities remained.

Is Buffy/Angel essential telekino or is this just a meme perpetuated by women?

I wouldn't be surprised if the biggest chunk of its fanbase were men. Boy or girl, I think it's just an endearing story about coming of age.

Early seasons of Buffy=Angel
