>"As of July 2016, the UK has not yet initiated the formal withdrawal procedure, and will not leave the EU until either two years after they notify the European Council of their decision to withdraw, or on the coming into force of a withdrawal agreement.''
2 WHOLE LONG YEARS UNTIL THEY LEAVE
You guys say you're gonna leave the EU but the eternal JEW is gonna bog you guys in infinite bureaucracy and about 10 more referendum re-votes to make sure you all stay in their globalist society
>meanwhile in America >lol fuck it were not doing this shit anymore bye >done
Liam Morris
For economic stability you fucking nonce it allows 2 years of formal trade talks.
You don't just leave and make your own club where you can be wealthy
Joseph Diaz
Didn't the EU leaders say they won't have formal trade talks until you leave though ?
Nolan Smith
This is the same length of time it would have taken for Scottish independence if they'd voted for it
Oliver Richardson
That's apart of article 50. Even though they voted to leave, they can spend another two years in the EU and still receive their benefits from it, (assuming there are any benefits in being in the EU.) This should give them enough time until the UK is ready to stand on its own feet.
Jaxson Flores
While it wouldn't surprise me that the EU would ignore/break it's own laws, you also have to keep in mind that Eurocrats are lying snakes.
Ryder Carter
They said no talks until we trigger article 50, the minister for leaving he European Union has said this will be done before the end of 2016 then the 2 year formal negotiation process will begin
If a deal is reached before that it ends immediately
Justin Sanders
No it isn't. Article 2 gets triggered by Britain, then the 2 years of negotiations begins. Until they end, or the 2 years is up, Britain is still legally in the EU.
Jordan Russell
>You don't just leave and make your own club where you can be wealthy You can when you're America fäm
Isaiah Peterson
Not to mention that after 2 years expires even if negotiations aren't finished we still leave under Article 50's rule. IT'S HAPPENING
Zachary Harris
Unless every single eu nation (including us) votes to extend it which is laughably unlikely
Samuel Rodriguez
>ITT people who have no fucking clue how the EU works. In order to leave the EU through offical procedures you must invoke Article 15. That says once invoked the nation will leave two years after. Its that simple.
Julian Martin
>literally just chose a new PM to guide them through the process >ARTICLE 50 NOT TRIGGERED YET
meanwhile labour are in turmoil so there's no chance of a re-vote. negotiations have to take place with the EU before they officially exit. the EU isn't stupid enough to not negotiate because it would wreak havoc on germany's economy, which is basically the entirety of the EU's
Asher Morales
Fucking britain up at the expense of its own economy wold be the logical step for the EU in order to deter other countries from leaving
I somewhat doubt that if article 50's triggered there will be 2 years of legit uk membership in the EU , the eu leaders would most likely want to kick the uk out asap since it's basically just fucking up with their plans at that point.....I think every1's waiting until making any more declarations to see if there's any block in the uk parliament that is going to veto the referendum
Mason Ramirez
Typical european bureaucracy, nothing new. I'm rather surprised it takes only 2 years.
Brexin when?
Aaron Kelly
>Brexin What?? Britain exin?
Leo Hughes
Brexback?
Kayden Collins
>ITT idiots who don't understand politics Germany wants the UK to file definitely that it is leaving the EU. But the UK doesn't want to do it yet. Why? Because UK has a BETTER position to negotiate with other EU countries while it's still in it. While Germany would have a stronger position if the UK just announced it's leaving officially. This is why Merkel demanded that UK doesn't go around negotiating separately with EU members and instead first file through the official channels (so talk with Germany). But the UK doesn't give a shit and still goes behind Germany's back getting deals and plans in place with most countries separately for once they are out.
Hell, at this point in time the UK's negotiation position is best if it does nothing towards leaving the EU. Because once they officially announce it Germany will treat them as an outsider trying to negotiate.
Aiden Lewis
But that's nearly exactly what everyone has been saying, minus calling out Germany directly.
Christopher Gonzalez
> small country see britian leave the EU and get all the benefits of the EU with none of the downsides > small country decides they might leave too.
EU should boot them the fuck out - let them rot.
John Powell
>Fucking britain up at the expense of its own economy wold be the logical step for the EU in order to deter other countries from leaving
Yeah but I think the entire world is already sick of the EU's crybaby bullshit over this. Also there won't be any block or veto in parliament. Even major stay leaders have said Brexit means Brexit.
Austin Russell
they were not prepared for this nobody thought their citizens are actually dumb enough to leave the union it was meant to be used as political pressure nothing more
