Struggle meal suggestions

Struggle meal suggestions
Sup Anons. Ima poor college student & would like suggestions on good cheap meals I can make at home.
My go-tos are;
> Home made pancakes, eggs & storebrand cereal for breakfast
> Ham n cheese with fruits most lunches
> Chicken with rice n beans for dinner. Occasionally home made pizzas
> Ramen with two eggs and a can of tuna for midnight snack.

Any suggestions?
I know there are other poorfags here.
Will be lurking thread

Get you some italian bread
You know those long cut fuckers
Smear on the cheesey bacon dip
Add spinach
Cut tomato put tomato slices on top
Pepper
Hot sauce maybe

EZ and delicious

poor and college student is like a double negative, theres no such thing as a rich college student

Unemployed third world dweller who's a pretty decent cook here so you might wanna listen
Do you have easy access to italian sausage over there? Cause they're both cheap and versatile, you can chop those with some onion and simmer it, add ground bay leaf and salt then some chopped vegetable (potatoes and carrots, cabbage, pumpkin, works with a lot of stuff) and boil it. Couple this shit with rice for a very fulfilling meal.
These sausages also work great when making sauces for any kind of pasta or polenta

Try some of Roxy Raye's recipes:

Search “meat slop” it’s basically all I are from 18-24.

Does this recipe have a name? Would like to look up some more detailed step by steps as Im kind if retarded when it comes to cooking.
Thx user. Had a chuckle.
Ah yes been there done that. Can confirm is delicious. Ill give u a suggestion. Look up the “media noche” sand which.
> buttered cuban bread
> swiss
> thin sliced pork & ham
> mayo+mustard
> pickles if you like them
Ehhh perhaps

I have sleep for dinner it's probably the best if you're looking to save money

I grow tired of the taste. Too bland sorry

Nigger, he literally fucking walked you thru the recipe by holding your hand
You really are beyond retarded

fried noodles:
>Cook noodles on oil for ~7 minutes
Noodles will be hard and need water to be edible
>Add cup of water and immediately turn off heat
Wait until cool enough to eat

Knowledge acquired

Oh shit. Now that's poor. I have occasionally used sleep also but I usually have a glass of water. It's sort of like gravy for the main dish. Sleep with a side of water.

Dude you're not fucking poor if you can buy all that, you're just bored of your cooking skills

>growing tired of sleep
the irony

yesterday I had 4 pieces of toast and felt bloated all the way til nighttime where I started getting hungry, perfect time for my goto dinner

Man honestly juste go for pasta, olive oil, garlic and cheese, the flavor is incredible and you barely use any of the ingredients so you can remake it to infinity

Potatoes are your friend. Can be cooked a million different ways, are a decent source of carbs, protein and minerals and are dirt cheap.
Try substituting less popular foods when you can. For some examples, kale instead of lettuce. Nonfat yogurt instead of sour cream. Turkey instead of chicken. These items are just a few examples of products that are comparable but cheaper.
>storebrand cereal
If you like oatmeal, switch to that. It will be cheaper.
>chicken with rice and beans
Good. If you are using canned beans switch to dry, they are much cheaper and are easy as fuck to prepare.

this and checked.
OP has literally not idea what it means to eat poor. these are some poor meals right here:

do not fucking do You will die!

Twin pack hamburger helper and a chub of ground beef, depending on your apitite it can make multiple meal preps with meat to spare.

Yep, too carby.

I guess it’s hard to tell my sarcasm but yeah. Not retarded enough to purposefully start a grease fire LOL

I just bought a used crock pot and watched for meat sales. Meat, root veggies, liquid, spices. Cook for 6 hours. See how it turns out. Always a surprise.

Are you retarded? Everything in my OP runs me like $25-30. And this is per week. Yeah im poor but not dirt poor
See above, trog.
And yeah I am bored with my current menu. Thus the point of the thread

> post Great Depression meals

See But yeah carbs suck. They fill me up but lack in energy. I feel sluggish if I load up on carb heavy meals exclusively.
Noted
Right sales…gonna see if I can pickup a crock pot sometime soon

Almost missed this one
Yeah i bulk buy the rice and beans for this very reason

Yeah, my local grocery store has meat basket sales where you can get 25lbs of various meat for $55. Big outlay but with beans and rice and potatoes I can make that last a very long time.thats 8 ounces of meat a day for 50 days. With the accessories starches you can get nutritious meals for less than $2 a day.

What store do you shop at ?
I live in Miami and idk if my local grocer does similar deals. Then again I never kept an eye out for that so I might have missed it.

Thx

It’s a family owned local chain.

Yeah that's what sux about my part of town, no mom n pop type shops, all commercial big chains etc. Exacerbated by not having a car & public transpo blows here. I’m limited to where I can reach within a couple busses and what I can carry in two hands & a backpack.

>oatmeal
It is nothing to write home about, but it is cheap and nutritious. If you can stand the gelatin-like texture, add a tablespoon of chia seeds to your oatmeal for an added kick of nutrients.

italian style pasta

if you have some freezer space, stock up on ham and/or turkey now during the holidays

you can find it stupidly cheap per-pound at a lot of grocery stores, and they'll probably even slice it for you
