So, what's Washington Posts problem with Yang?
Is it just me, or does this seem like a blatant hit piece when he didn't just parrot the main talking point?
So, what's Washington Posts problem with Yang?
thats literally what it is
Washington Posts Version:

An actual clip:

I guess I'm more curious about the headline, which part was the "bad debate answer" it's a really poorly written article.
>reading the (((washington post)))
They can't handle the truth.
Blame google, it came up on my phone, and there's literally no news I can read on my phone that isn't leftist or rightist.
it's state sponsored media, don't let it being american fool you
you guys know that stuff in the 'opinion' section is just some dudes opinion right?
I thought newspapers were corporate sponsored media?
user, it's all opinion reporting. There is no objective news reporting. They give us the facts that support their agenda.
Usually they don't put it up as a fucking political headline. And tend to have a balanced view or counterpoint. There's nothing indicating in "opinions" that his answer was the best answer (or at least the only one different) compared to the others. But, no. They have a staff writer, there since 2010 with a ton of experience write a (very shiftily written) hit piece.
I'm starting to like Yang. He's not a Democrat alarmist which is rather refreshing.
That's why the oligarchy hates him.
Hell, he's not even a politician, just someone that actually practices what they preach.
Too bad his honesty and conviction is just gonna get him killed by the system.
>There is no objective news reporting.
Truth. The sheep on both sides always respond exactly as they are instructed.
It's just not his time. Good ideas but a little too bland, personality-wise.
He has good support. There were a bunch of his supporters at NYCC outside the venue passing buttons and stickers out.
I think in 8 years he comes back fired up with a ton of shit Americans are ready for.
So in the meantime just let creepy joe in and do some more damage first?
Sadly this. Which is why Bernie is dead last in reporting despite being almost head-to-head with Biden.
I'm all for getting rid of Trump but the media makes it difficult to see how we all really feel.
No, I'm for Bernie. I had the same feeling with Pete. Good ideas, but not the right time.
Yang hasn't done much in the debates to sway me. I like him but I honestly don't think he'd win.
He's the only one who could win. Crepy Joe and Bernie can't win shit. I hate both of them now and tulsi and yang are the only dems I'd think about voting for
They need their news opinion pieces to be told what to think. It really is 1984.
Well, if you're for Bernie, you're actually for whoever he picks as vice president three years in. Poor dude ain't making it.
Isn't Petey the fucktard that said he'd come take my guns away? He's 100% never going to win anything outside a minority controlled city / state.
Hes not part of the inner circle. He gunna get bullied and ignored. Even tho he not retarded. like the popular faggots
Too bad an equal amount of the voting population is retarded enough to ignore him.
Pretty much every person I know has "Heard of Yang, but isn't sure enough people have heard about him" it sickens me people are so fucking gullible and easily lead with simple slogans.
I would fuck the shit out of Tulsi, and let her in my kitchen. But I don't think letting a woman have political power is morally right.
Washington Post is run by Jews
The thought of Biden in the Oval Office makes me a little sick. Why don't these antiquated fucks retire?
that was actually quite an insightful response he gave, thanks for sharing
you seem totally right about the op ed title though, it seems the DNC has done a good job of convincing the media to slam people that don't "fit their mold" of what an electable candidate looks like
democrats are the reason trump got elected. it's not rocket science mr. wang.
Good Bezzelbub doesn't want Ya g cuz he won't have any employees if we get out $1000 a month. I witnessed 2 people die in 3 months at an Amazon fulfillment center.
Thanks poster. This is a great example of media negative spin on anyone who doesn't toe the line. This is actually an answer with some integrity. I dislike Yang's platform. UBI, even if it could get passed, is an idea that just won't work in practice. But the more I see of Yang I see this more of a problem with his naiveté of human nature then coming from vote grasping, say anything cynicism.
Yeah not to mention, they constantly tell people to report unsafe things or make suggestions. But anyone that does, mysteriously ends up being put into their worse roles until they're fired and then the "safety issue" is just swept under the rug so to speak.
Pete isn't taking your guns
and hes ranked dead last in non white votes
No. But at least he's owning up to this fact.
>reading the (((washington post)))
>i only believe information from podcasts and self-funded websites
lol
I think UBI is over looked because it's expected to be a cure all, when in reality it just fixes some very root problems, that then gives humans more freedom of choice. A position I'll support based on libertarian theory and practice.
The biggest benefit from a UBI would be the only practical way to dismantle an overblown, overburdened, and inefficient welfare system, while simultaneously loosening government control. 1000 a month won't provide for everyone, but I'd take 1000 a month to do whatever I needed to do, instead of unemployment or food stamps in an emergency- because those system want to trap people in them.
YEAH I KNOW RIGHT? HOW DARE THEY ATTACK MY HERO AND STUFF WHEN WE'RE ON THE SAME TEAM AND STUFF,?
>MSNBC SHILLS are early today.
Check this and don't forget to thank me
No. MY media tells me the truth so I can think for myself and form my own opinions! YOURS is the one that's lying and has you brainwashed!
My media spins this way your media spins that way, clearly clockwise is best,
I'm a Trump supporter.
I can't read CNN. Because they're biased against him.
I can't read MSNBC, NBC, or Bloomberg because they're biased against him.
I can't even read Business Insider, Forbes, Christianity Today, and sometimes not even the Wall Street Journal.
I can't watch Colbert, Seth Meyers, Jimmy Fallon, because they're biased against him.
I can't even watch SNL because they're biased against him.
That's how I know I'm right - because everyone else is on the other side and obviously everyone else is always wrong.
I'm 16 BTW.
As I was saying about naiveté. UBI will make welfare situation worse because it assumes people will act responsible and use their free UBI money to pay for the food, clothing and shelter that welfare formally paid for. While some will see this as opportunity to advance themselves, the majority will view UBI as free money and will use it as such. What is the solution after they blow the money they need to survive on drugs and playstation? Yang's "solutions" won't work because they depend on people behaving in a way, that, if people naturally behaved that way, would negate the need for the solution in the first place.
washington post is owned by jeff bezos, who owns amazon. yang has directly stated that he wants to tax amazon and redistribute the money to the public.
wapo has a direct financial incentive to portray him negatively. this isn't rocket science.
hes a google employee seeking office as POTUS
fuck that guy
There's no more free press in America, they're all owned by billionaires. Bezos owns the post and Yang is going to throttle Amazon so...hit piece. We are fuuuuuucked.
He slayed that question. Gotta give him props. He called the media out is why the media didnt like it.
so the Dem Trump?
He's a threat
>honesty
>practices
Nah, bro.
Then the invisible hand of the market will work itself out. Education is the only way to set people straight, after missing rent payments and not being able to afford the electricity people will fucking learn to be more responsible so they can play their playstations.
This is why I hate the nanny state. Humans are individual and will make errors, no shit. But for every piece of shit that buys drugs, there's at least a dozen people who will do it the "right way" or in a way that you'd agree with. Whether, it's a single mom, that only has to work one job, and get ahead while raising their kids better. Or a college flunkie that needed some backing to take a chance on a business idea, the MAJORITY of the people will greatly benefit, as will society. These are the very foundations of liberty and freedom for each individual.
I don't like the term "trickle up" or "trickle down" economy, but historically when the base of a society is doing well, the society is strengthened and less likely to experience sharp peeks of poverty and instability.
Sidenote:
And as someone that lost (father and step mother to drugs), I say good. Let the junkies kill themselves quicker. No more of this methadone shit to keep them alive longer, just draining the system. it's cold, yes. But that's what junkies are trying to do, kill themselves slowly so they feel no pain.
Mmm, m'yes.
>Is it just me, or does this seem like a blatant hit piece
You're reading the Washington Post. Are you looking for fair and neutral reporting?
>he didn't just parrot the main talking point
Fuck Yang, but this is precisely why they did it.
washington post is a noted cia mouthpiece
If you can't see what's wrong with Long Duk Dong's answer I can't help you. Stay in your trumptard bubble.
>What we have to do is we have to stop being obsessed over impeachment, which, unfortunately, strikes many Americans like a ballgame where you know what the score is going to be, and actually start digging in and solving the problems that got Donald Trump elected in the first place. We have to take every opportunity to present a new positive vision for the country, a new way forward to help beat him in 2020 because, make no mistake, he’ll be there at the ballot box for us to defeat.
see, the type of people who parrot that its state sponsored also think its corporate sponsored and their brains just dont rectify that.
