its not just the timeline stuff, there's at least a whole movie worth of backstory to how they ended up to where they are and logan just skips over it. i get the actors didn't want to play those roles anymore and they had to fit it in one movie, but it just felt rushed

Everything in this movie felt so right.

Logan and Xavier looked like they had lived a life.
The little girl was a cheeky cunt and I wish her the very best.
The only x-men-like thing in the entire movie was when Xavier and Logan help a farmer with his horses and it worked so well.
The peak of the grimdark is when The black farmer tries to shoot Logan before he dies, That fucked me up the most desu.

And lets not the forget the fat black kid running for his life I fucking lost my shit.

I agree completely. It's certainly my favorite so far. I hope they handle the next movies right. I honestly don't think they should bring back Wolverine or x-23's character. The way he said "Don't be what they made you" was the perfect conclusion for them both.

it was better than most xmen movies, but it was not a xmen movie, it kept me interested enough to watch it all the way through, but after watching it and thinking back a lot of it made no sense, to many things happend that were to predictable and also forced situations like its some prophecy unfolding and these things are meant to happen fate etc fucking shit writing prety much. final thoughts, was ok not terrible, certainly not great.
