what a depressing load of rubbish
What a depressing load of rubbish
Depressing but not rubbish by any means.
the only depressing thing to come from this is the new franchise
Non depressing and rubbish. It was capeshit, just as bad as any other capeshit flick.
>X-23 goes back in time to save Sansa Grey and Gay Nightpucci
You're just fishing for (you)s.
The problem is that it was completely unearned depression. They build up this shit about family and hope throughout the whole film then just retcon it all with DADDY DONT DIE OH HE DIED K BYE THE END. It's a joke.
i just saw this movie a couple hours ago and i liked it a lot. I didn't care about x men beforehand though so I don't know if it's supposed to piss off x men fans
not depressing and the only x-men related film even remotely worth watching
>not depressing
Please explain how a young girl crying over her dead dad she met a week ago after a whole moving worth of baiting themes isn't depressing.
The movie's theme is about disappointment.
Mutants are virtually non-existant. Disappointing.
Logan and Xavier die miserably and are left in ditches. Disappointing.
The x-men are wiped out by Xavier's illness. Disappointing.
Wolverine was meant to lead the x-men but becomes an empty husk. Disappointing.
A family of farmers die caught in the crossfire. Disappointing.
X-23 will never get to see her father again and her fate is left unclear. Disappointing.
This is the most adult and mature mainstream movie we've seen in ages. It teaches us that life is one giant disappointment but we have to go through it nonetheless.
It could be that I'm just dead inside
Beautiful. We need more neo westerns.
Doesn't mean it's not unearned cry porn. Laura and Logan's relationship had quite literally 0 development, but we're meant to buy her crying over his corpse and calling him fucking daddy? It's cheap as fuck.
We don't need more neo westerns that fucking straight up come out and say HEY LOOK ITS JUST LIKE A WESTERN HAHA
You forgot the last one.
There will never be another x-men movie this good. Disappointing.
it was great
Logan might have been a bit on the nose with the Shane scene and Laura's perfect recital of the "no more guns in the valley" speech. Still, I loved it all!
This is assuming you understand the emotional stability of a little girl. She just lost the chance of getting to know her father.
I thought it was great up until the third act when it felt really sloppy. The hotel seizure and the farmhouse attack were amazing to see in the theater
Grow a pair
>superhero with metal claws and pyschic old man fight a cyborg and a clone to protect a little girl
>adult and mature
Anything can be made to sound stupid.
I Just got home from watching it. I didn't enjoy it.
Did it feel too noisy to anyone? There were always some sort of background noises and it felt over stimulating.
Did anyone catch how the FoV changed in two scenes when a face appeared in the screen?
I think i am done with capshit
it was a loose adaptation of king lear.
You must be fun at parties.
you really don't know what King Lear is, do you?
Stopped watching when the little cunt strolled out and killed 3 of their SUPER ADVANCED FUTURE WARRIORS AND RAN AWAY, WHILE A GROUP OF MARKSMEN WITH RIFLES MISSED OVER 200+ BULLETS
It was hilariously bad, but funny, I couldn't stop laughing, it was like a whole squad of Steven Segals trying to hit her
don't forget he always talks about how the comic books are shit, and real life was more disappointing
I enjoyed the movie, but calling it 'adult and mature' is fucking retarded.
Not really I could have decided to not waste the cash on that ticket for Logan. The Movie seriously sucked Plot was very boring, and predictable, most people just like it because of Wolverine/Xavier nostalgia
He wasnt her Dad. He is as much dad to her as if you took your dna or whatever and made a human from it.
That is not being the dad. Wolverine was just a guy. she met.
>mommy it made me saaaaad!!! i thought this was like those funfilms with iron man and captain america!!
Why? Just because it has the stigma of being a superhero movie, doesn't make it any less mature.
Its not exactly tailored for kids either.
>neets too scared to go to the cinema who have to wait for torrents cant handle movie about making the most of your life
pottery
they didn't miss, she doesn't get bamaged by bullets
Its a slow-burn movie. Not to everyone's tastes, I get it. Cant make some like/dislike movie.
But to completely disregard its themes is nothing but ignorance.
i'm glad that the dust has settled down so we can all agree on this
I don't get it. How is Logan a slow burn? It was packed with action and a rapidly progressing story. I don't know how anyone can dismiss this kino as boring.
it was better than most xmen movies, but it was not a xmen movie, it kept me interested enough to watch it all the way through, but after watching it and thinking back a lot of it made no sense, to many things happend that were to predictable and also forced situations like its some prophecy unfolding and these things are meant to happen fate etc fucking shit writing prety much. final thoughts, was ok not terrible, certainly not great.
no it was capeshit with some rather good acting
reddit flick
In its quiet moments, the drama between the characters could be mistaken as filler. Also the action in this isn't your typical x-men , flashing lights and warbling bass sounds. Its 99% physical and plays out like mob violence.
Fair points. Maybe these people should stick to disney superheros.
