The trial round starts at 12:15 CET, competition at 13:30. Top favourites include Johansson, Forfang, Stoch and Wellinger. Yesterday the Norwegians were the best. Hayböck, Geiger and Kobayashi looking to surprise.
What's gonna happen, can the Polish get a medal? I think Kamil can still win this, but it depends on the winds.
He hasn't really found his form here on these hills yet. He's been pretty good in large hill, but I think it's only good for the places 5-7. His form's been going down the same time as Wellinger's has gone up - and I think Freitag would really like being the sole best jumper on the team, as opposed to Freund's or Andi's second-in-arms.
Christian Cooper
Bookies giving Kamil the best odds of winning, followed by Johansson, Forfang and Wellinger. Johansson the clear favourite in h2h against Forfang.
Dominic Baker
We need to stop chocking in second rounds

Landon Ramirez
Would love to see a big CIA stance jump.
Jason Nelson
>Kasai 葛西 葛 = Kudzu, Japanese arrowroot. 西 = west. Maybe his ancestor lived in the west of Kudze field. Place name Kasai is in Tokyo. >Kobayashi 小林 小 = small. 林 = woods. So Kobayashi means grove in English. >Takeuchi 竹内 竹 = Bamboo, 内 = inside. Maybe his ancestor lived in a place inside of bamboo woods.
Kevin Ortiz
what's up with Harri Olli anyway? is he still jumping or did he give up again?
Christopher Jones
are you real japanese?
Levi Perry
Yes, konnichiwa
Jeremiah Martin
What's the kanji for Ryoyu? I always thought that was a slightly unique name.
Eli Martin
What evil pact with the devil did Kasai do that allows him to still jump at age 10000000000000000000?
Thomas Mitchell
Japanese makes name with meaning or sound of Kanji words. Maybe the name took sound. So it has no special meaning. I'm not sure this name, sorry.
Daniel Mitchell
He is called "Kamikaze Kasai" when he was young
Josiah Brooks
>Kamikaze jumper >immortal ????
Nathan Johnson
really makes you think
Hunter Cruz
Freitag sounded really down in an interview yesterday. He had essentially given up already, didnt think he could do well today. Was pretty depressing actually.
Yeah, it honestly looks like Finland might even have two athletes on second round. This is what happens when the winds are pretty equal!
Nathan Thompson
Is Colloredo drunk?
Angel Johnson
Forfang is favourite m8
Samuel Morris
Don't know how big this hill is, but typical hill size in a large hill is somewhere between 140 - 150.
Hunter Williams
Why did this change from 124.5 to 124.0 to 123.5?
Eli White
usually it was
90k = small hill 120-130k = large hill
Nolan Nelson

I would like to see Simi Amman getting a medal again. He is so passionate
Easton Bennett
Ahonen 153m in second round and wins gold m8
Ryan Martinez
Wow, didn't know that. But isn't one the max distance someone actually landed at? How can that change with wind?
Christian Murphy
Stoch. A Johansson win would be great. But yeah, Poland deserves a win too.
Jace James
USA
Cameron Johnson
why does this sport attract shotas?
Carson Myers
No, it's the distance one needs to jump to take the lead. It changes with the wind because you get bonus/penalty points from the wind conditions.
James Butler

Isaac Reyes

Isaiah Jones
Ahonen shares the gold with Kasai and Damjan

Ian Kelly
A girl in my class fancied Schlierenzauer back in 2010
Brody Miller
>But isn't one the max distance someone actually landed at? Are you trying to say that the distance the jumper needed to jump in order to beat the guy in the lead changed? Because yes, that happens. Wind conditions change, and they can have a lot to say, so they give/take points away based on wind conditions, so the one who had the best jump actually wins.
David Wood
Why do they have judges in this sport? What's the point? Wouldn't it be better if the one with the best distance wins?
Caleb Rogers
KOBAYASHI!
Jaxon Taylor
NIPPON STRONG
Caleb Sullivan
But you only get #1 if you also have the best style. So take the lead from what? Does the green line also move back/forth?

>no gold yesterday >no gold today (yet)
Jayden Moore
Wind is a huge random factor. Can easily decide over several metres of distance. To reduce the impact of it, they use a wind multiplier that adjusts points and distance to even it out. So someone with bad wind conditions doesn't need to jump the same distance like someone with good wind conditions...
