Lebanese are white, and often enough don't have brown eyes and many of them in the past were Christians. Certain areas had a lot of influx from other Muslim areas since the Europeans got out, and wit hthe shifting around it's sort of made it so Christians in the a lot of the countries are still genetically Semitic (like Assyrian etc.) but most of the Muslims in the same cities are dark because they moved/have ancestry from Saudi Arabia and other places.

Arab is somewhat of a race the same way Jewish is. To be a true Arab would mean having some Arab blood in you. All Muslims race mix with each other but Christian's don't race mix with Muslims. Especially in that part of the world. So naturally Iraqi Christian's being isolated from ever race mixing since the start of Islam would make them keep their indigenous features. They call themselves Assyrian probably because that was the last known ethnicity they were apart of.

Syrian Muslim here. I would say that Christians in Arab lands have remained more isolated throughout history after the arrival of Islam. They do probably have a degree of mixing and don't believe in the bullshit that they are not Arabs. Arabs migrated to Northern Arabia way before Islam and probably mixed with the local populations, like the Ghassanids. Muslims tend to be more mixed I think. I myself have egyptian, jewish, turkish (which is mixed itself), arab, and kurdish blood. And who knows what else. Although different religious groups that tend to have lived in the same areas for a long time tend to be similar genetically, with some differences along religious lines. Genetic testing is stupid though since it doesn't give us the full picture. Mitochondrial and Y Chromosome DNA tend to remain unchanged so thats tested the most.
