Childhood is idolizing Dredd (2012)
Adulthood is realizing Judge Dredd (1996) made more sense

Okay, now this is just the worst form of contrarianism ever

I got no idea why 2012 Dredd is praised though

Because it stays true to the comics?
Because Karl Urban dosen't take his helmet off, unlike I NEED TO SHOW MUH FACE Sylvester Stallone?
Because its a really good simplistic plot that has the feel of a John Carpender film?

Childhood is idolizing Terminator 2 because of muh cool liquid metal and pet Terminator.

Adulthood is realizing that T1 was so much better and it had that unique dark and gritty atmosphere.

T-1000 was more threatening, because due to Arnold being Terminator he was allowed to be beaten up and you could see how strong and relentless the enemy was

>I like comics and John Carpenter, the plot is simple and...uh, he doesn't take the helmet off!
One day you will learn to talk about movies.

Fuck off Cory you have work for th e dole tomorrow go to bed

It was a worse movie but Stallone was a much better Dredd for the 2 mins when he still had his helmet on

Urban's chin is just pathetic and he confuses Dredd with Batman

Okay then, why do you like this shlock?

>Because it stays true to the comics?
Which ones? 2000 AD is pretty goofy.

Original terminator murdered an entire police station. There's a point when you've reached maximum levels of "threatening" and any more doesn't really matter.

>childhood
>2012
Come on young man, shouldn't you be studying?

>john carpenter
Since when did john carpenter make a die hard/raid redemption rip off

He made Assault on Precinct 13 which is the granddaddy of those movies

dredd 2012 is very good

t. Dredd fan
OP means philosophical, not physical, childhood

Judge Dredd does have fantastic theme music though

I enjoyed both movies for different reasons. One for pure schlock entertainment and the other for action kino.

>comics
That explains it, I should have known it was you kids.

>has the feel of a John Carpender film
John Carpenter wouldn't use full-CGI sets

Childhood is thinking OP is a faggot

Adulthood is knowing he is.

it's entertaining, thrilling, fun, and has good style

Stallone wanted to keep the helmet on, blame the producers

I knew you'd say that.

Why do the comicfags get so butthurt about taking the helmet off?
