Has some bland episodes, but its best are 10/10

I'm just happy to have back some sort of Twilight Zone type of show that's worth half a damn.

It's okay but smug as fuck.

shock value most of the time

Has it's moments.
They generally butcher a few dystopian ideas and treat the viewer as an imbecile sometimes but I like a lot of the episodes.
The good ones are the ones that don't hamfist you with their message that technology can be baaaaad (Like the fake bees episode)
The good ones are the ones that are solely personal stories (Like the social media 5 stars one) that don't end in The Worst Ending Possibleā„¢

I hate how Black Mirrors endings are always so so so so bad that they're the worst thing imaginable and the message is ruined from something morally relatable to "This is what technology does"
For example that horror videogame episode would have been great if at the end the protag had come close to brain death and realised his demons and what he needed to do, went home to him mum and lived a better life but instead he just dies. No "This is the only life you have and you only have one family subtext in there. You're punched in the face with "Alternate reality videogames can kill you"

In my opinion, it tackles subjects that haven't been done before with this much cinematic care. Although, when it got to season two (especially with The Waldo Moment), I could tell Charlie Brooker was having some issues. This was solidified with Men Against Fire. I could see the twist coming from miles away. However, this episode had a re-watchablilty to it, unlike The Waldo Moment. I enjoy the series and anything that is dark sci-fi.

Dunno, I find the Waldo Moment hilarious in hindsight to all the meme magic we've been seeing the past year and two.

>the social media 5 stars one

Shit son, we are already there. Fuck my friends and their stupid girlfriends, I swear.

The lesbian one was GOAT

>the social media 5 stars one
>doesn't end in The Worst Ending Possibleā„¢
>message not that technology can be baaaaad

I've talked to people IRL how think this way about Black Mirror. It in never says technology is bad and the first episode, to me, stresses that the show is satirical. The episode about the puppet truck is similar in that regard as well.

To me the show is simply about how people need to take responsibility for all aspects of our society and not let the condos of technology make is indifferent to potential or current injustices. Pretty relevant imo considering all the people who wouldn't rather videotape a fight or car accident or anyone in help rather than call for help, and that's just one example of how modern social media effects people's actions.

Comforts of technology*

>Has some bland episodes, but its best are 10/10

Nailed it.

>Like the social media 5 stars one
>good
that's like one of the shittest ones

Good premise and ideas, but done poorly

Episode 2 is still the best episode by far

social media slave detected.

This. Season 3 was great, the only bad episode was Ep 1.

What are they gonna be about, Sup Forums?

I don't use social media, I just thought the episode was too obvious in it's set-up to be as memorable or interesting as other bm episodes

The National Anthem: 7/10
The Entire History of You: 9/10 I loved it

Be Right Back: 7/10
The Waldo Moment: 5/10

Nosedive: 6/10
Playtest: 5/10
Shut Up and Dance: 8/10
San Junipero: 7/10
Men Against Fire: 6/10

These are the episodes I've watched. The Entire History of You was my favourite by far. Pretty much every episode has wonderful acting and production values, but the theme and writing and payoff and twists and such are more often than not predictable or just too unrealistic for me, like The Waldo Moment's ending.

I feel Mr. Rags deserved more screentime.

No way to tell really, something about space exploration could be cool I think, although that's not very intertwined with our personal lives

BMWF

>not watching 15 million merrits

You're racist if you don't like BMWF.

...

lol gotem

why doesn't this type of shit actually exist
I'd pay good money for a lifetime membership

Isn't that the point of the dystopia. Advertisement using minorities isn't part of the dystopian future?

>not BLACKED mirror

you need plot twists to enjoy a story? What are you, a pleb?

Hamfisted social commentary: the show

I fucking hate british people.

>Missed the best episode

You best not be referring to White Bear.

You NEED to watch White Christmas.

Hey man, wtf? Wanker.

They're all fucking snobby elitist pricks.

The only really bad one is Waldo. And that's basically because they stretched the concept too far.

It should have been Waldo a mega success. Not in control of the fucking world

I'm not a snobby elitist prick. I'm a poor humble anti-elite prick.

You, Sir, have hurt my feelings.

DUDE MY GIRLFRIEND TURNED INTO AN IPHONE LMAO

oh, sorry

Started OK but descended into smugness

It's ok, my "stiff upper lip" should suffice, whatever the fuck that is.

Is not like it's not happening. This is not a show about dragons or some impossible shit.

I'm not talking about plot twists, it's just an easy concept to make an episode about, "what if social media?" not as imaginative as I expect black mirror to be

It ends with her unchained from the whole rating system concept that ran her life desu

Waldo episode is bascially meme magic, like some annon already said. So far we had Sup Forums crashin the plane with no survivors, Sup Forums killed Lemmy and Sup Forums elected Trump. You can't really say that Waldo ep is pure fiction when you got a guy that took a fucking Stone Cold stunner at Wrestlemania sitting in the white house dropping bombs on brown people.

That's one of the 2 episodes I've seen, and I hated this one. It was like dollar bin YA dystopia. The other one I saw, The Entire History of You, was really good.

That's the english pal, rest of the brits are different to those inbred fucks

I disagree with you on every level

I bet season 4 will have atleast 5 lgbt characters to satisfy the tumblr tranies. Am I correct tv ?

Twilight Zone for edgy tweens.
