Buy a car for like 800 bucks. I bought a 97 Corolla for 1100ish. Had not even 140k miles, no dents, scratches, it was just older car. Works more than fine, only had to dump a few hundred more for belts, breaks. It's been my commuter car for a few years now. So just save up and keep an eye on craiglist.

Car dealers dont deliver. We are actually very regulated. All documents are supposed to be signed at the dealership. Also if we deliver, the customer can claim a right of recission and deny the car a few days later. Also why would a dealer go through all this shit to sell some loser his cheapest car

I'm not talking about the big car-marts, I'm talking about the little patch-of-dirt joints operating out of a rusty camper you see everywhere. Any lot can give a test ride, and there are no laws preventing the lot owner from driving the car to the customer. Obviously, the guy won't do it a dozen times. But to sell a shitty old minivan thats been sitting there for six months, he might. Goes without saying the car is written up and sold at the owners location, and the prospective buyer must provide a valid license.
