Whats the best way to start out seeds. Like the whole part where you soak the seeds up to trasnfer of soil.

Best way its to soak the seeds in a cup of tap water for 18 hours, they should all sink, then you put them in between 2 paper towels and place it in a warm dark place for a day, keeping the paper towels moist, then youll see tap roots, let them grow an inch then put them in your media of choice, have it deep enough so the friction sheds the shell, then you're g2g

i have a 20 x 5 set up in my basement, having a ceiling height issue but otherwise been a continuous grow on 49 day cycles for 10 years. flood and drain- just started another grow- will yield 2 plants a week perpetually. that ones dirt.

my first grow was in soil, then i built a water chilled RDWC system and man the work pays off, in veg and early flower it's hands free for days

not sure what you're saying.. i use root riots in both my 21 plant flood and drain and my perpetual dirt- 95%success rate with root riots-worth the price considering fem seed prices.

yeah, smaller grows have the advantage of some pretty cool tricks... couldn't imagine the outlay and maintenance scaled up.I have a flood and drain system that work well but is always a source of aggravation.

I also make my own R/O water which i have a 30 gallon resovour that fills via a float valve. Beats going to CVS and buying distilled water (that was hell)

want scale? I see you use hydroton- i have perfected cleaning the crap-i use a gas dryer (out doors) and run it for 15 minutes per 5 gallon bucket. Last clean up i cleaned up 27x5 gallon buckets.
