How about the statistical data you can look at that shows us how the planet has been heating up exponentially since the industrial revolution? See the post of Mr. Mackey above. It's not really difficult to see correlation. I say correlation, not causation. The problem is when numberless studies confirm the correlation, it becomes adequate to suggest some form of causation. Or to take up your lovely example, if 1000 studies show that there never was a sighting of Santa on Christmas, there's a fair degree of certainty that there is no Santa. But hey, perhaps science will prove me wrong. I'm pretty sure the dumbass climate change deniers in congress won't do that.
Btw, speaking of correlation: Have a look at who is denying climate change in American politics and then have a look at who is sponsoring their campaigns. Koch energy and others, usually. People who do not want any body to get away from fossile fuels. Big wow.

In other words, there is 0 question on if it is real, or that we are causing it. The real scientific debate right now is, is that bad/how bad is it?

But on a more serious note, climate change could fuck up Europe quite royally. If the Gulf stream stops (no flow of warm water to Europe), Europe may actually start to cool down pretty badly. At the same time Western Europe could also face increased Mediterranean climate. It's probably not so easy to say which model could work. Predictions are kinda hard, no serious scientist will deny that.
