This is unironically my favourite show since Lost.
The christian mythology and folklore is so delightful it almost gives me a boner. The characters are great, excellent soundtrack, funny.
Yes S1-S5 were the best. But I'm on S11 and it's great again now. I fucking love Supernatural, does anyone Sup Forums do to?

My all time favorite show. Practically grew up with it. Season 11 was great. This season is good, but a little meandering, but i still love it. I honestly still get excited during the day when i know a new episode will be on.
Supernatural has been bad for years.

I binge watch it at the end of the season. Last season was terrible (Amara). This season looks even worse
Just started watching Buffy and so far season 1 just feels like a cheesy but watchable highschool version of supernatural
down to the same font at the start of the episode
The first half of the current season was awful, but the second half is dramatically better for some reason, really enjoying it now.
Buffy is completely different and came out well before Supernatural. Buffy S1 and S2 are really cheesy, it gets better as it goes along. It is still cheesy though, but that is part of what makes Buffy good.
Shows like Supernatural are all based on Buffy anyway but they all fail to do what Buffy did.
Buffy doesn't start getting good until S2 with Spike's intro, and maybe the last episodes of S1.
I've watched it until they rescued their father from Hell. It was a good show.

yeah the 1st half of this season was all over the place and seemed to be trying to do to much it's starting to get focused now though
I kind of understand that it was something special for its time, I really wish I had watched it sooner. Glad it makes me laugh though and the intro song is nice, the main reason I'm watching it is for the Alexa Davalos and Summer Glau episodes in Angel

It still is now. Don't judge it by S1, it gets much better. There is a reason it is considered one of the best shows ever made.

S1-5 aren't just the best, they're the only part you should really be watching.
It makes it a good story with a concise end, whereas now it's just a sprawling mess where everyone has died a thousand times

Another thing that surprised me were how many of the cast looked familiar, the Watcher who was in Merlin, in the pack episode the guy from BoB and Jennifer Sky from 2525
Willow goes without saying, Summer, Alexa it just seems like so many actors had their big break working on Angel or Buffy

Nah, not anymore I'd say. Amara/The Darkness & Rowena fucked his shit up. Notice how he has broken wings just like the rest of the angels now. He's nowhere near as powerful as he used to be.
I'd rank it like this, since Death is out of the picture now:
1. God/The Darkness
2. Michael (even though he's in the cage & his psyche is fucked, he's still the only fully powered angel at the moment, and an arch angel at that.
3. Lucifer.
It amazes me I've been watching this show since I was 11
S1-5 was the original show. S6+ is a spin off with the same cast.
That said, I still enjoy it. Some interesting episodes, and recent seasons had some interesting central plots to actually push forward without ideas that should have been more monster of the week, rather than a season or two of plot.
I mostly watch it just to see where it ends, and to give me something to talk with relatives who watch it during family get togethers.
