The ranking you are talking about have for main criteria the number of publications by universities...

So given that most universities in Europe are focused more on education than research yes it is biased.

If that's true then why have all the world's most successful entrepreneurs, scientists, inventors, etc. studied at one or more American universities?
You don't hear much about American tech moguls studying at a European university, but it's quite common for European business executives to move to the U.S for college

non meme is answer is that our k-12 is crap but our college system is good assuming you actually apply yourself.

The difference between American university and European university is that in America, we actually stress the social life.
Joining fraternities/sororities/clubs/sports teams/extracurricular activities/etc. is very common, especially if you dorm.

Sure, you technically go to university to learn and get your degree. But you should also make connections, gain life experiences, and do things that go beyond just getting a piece of paper in 4-6 years time.

That's why American universities produce such successful people and are easily the most widely acclaimed in the world.

Tbh, american education is a joke. I graduated high school with people who never taken any science classes and math beyond basic algebra, whom still have the courage to tell me phone radiation cause cancer and laugh at imaginary numbers. Its pretty laughable because i talked to people who actually went to good unis but still have no idea what a Eurozone or Schengen Area is. Most people just seem to be comfortable making quick buck and get drunk and wasted. To get into a good college in the US you need a personal statement and some fkin recommendation letters. I feel sad that ill always be a failure because i fked up my chances because my unstable mental state even tho i slaved my way through the ap classes. And people get to go to better colleges that's more concerned about sexuality while cant even point out where Spain is on the fkin map.

TUT was a nice and comfy little university.Construction engineering was devoid of SJW:s and everybody had fun.

Also we had a commieblock with led tiles for playing tetris,so that was a plus
