I'm a Korean, and I hate it.
It's a horribly abusive industry. Everything about K-pop is corporate. The music is all focus tested, written by committee and painfully generic. The singers are treated like absolute shit and their lives are controlled by executives.
It's intentionally designed to be as trendy and superficial as possible, and people eat it up because they're too stupid to think for themselves.
