C'est la vie. I was about to say I wasn't sure how my old DM used to do it, but then I remembered: He just wung it all the time. Every session, every NPC. Just made shit up on the fly. It worked surprisingly well. Still, I probably couldn't manage that without some major burnout. Some things are better in short bursts, I guess.
