I did some data entry for my parents website, worked for 5 hours and made $50. It's not much but it felt great just to get away from the usual shit here and on discord, and focus on something productive.

I have to do a little data entry stuff now and then for my job. It can be really tedious at times but goes by quickly if you can get in the zone. and congrats on the income! even if the work sucks it's a good feeling to be able to save some money.
I stashed over half my take home pay last year, it does a lot for one's mental well-being to have a solid financial buffer in case something happens

Tbh it was kinda fun just knowing I'm being productive and I'm doing something pretty important for the future of the business. The money is secondary to the sense of accomplishment, and feeling like I'll be able to get somewhere. I'll going to save all of my money for a car, but I maaay go to Furry Weekend Atlanta in May.

Eh, not really. I still don't feel ready for trade school because my anxiety is worse than ever, and I'm still pretty depressed. I can barely get out of bed in the afternoon or talk to my irl friends, let alone have the courage to call a bunch of people, and put myself through hell for something I don't even think I'll care about.

I don't know, I tried a bunch of different artistic outlets when I was younger, and nothing else really stuck or was satisfying. I preferred 3d mediums like sculpting and carving, but those are tedious, require dexterity, and mistakes are irreversible. 3d modelling has none of the pitfalls with all the expression, you still have to put in the practice and be properly educated with the right "technique" though
with 3d modeling and rendering skills you can make complete virtual environments in VR
and of course it can also be used to 3d print stuff or make architectural or engineering models
just a neat skill to have in such an era, especially if vr stuff is as big as some of these tech companies believe it will be
most of the general public isn't aware, but there are several tech giants that are pouring hundreds of millions into research to achieve "presence"
it's not even just a technological goal but an ideological one, it's seen as a necessity to facilitate one world governance more or less

That's interesting, and about what I expected. I'm glad you found something artistic you can enjoy. I can definitely see the potential profit to be made from VR, but from what I can tell, these companies aren't getting a whole lot of sales yet because it's just so expensive. It will be interesting to see how it evolves in the coming years, but I'm kinda scared to see how it will be abused. As if everyone doesn't want to be shut-in gamers already :/
