you guys may think today's world is facing the unprecedented crisis, but the truth is in between 19th to 20th century the world has been globalistic free market with moral degeneracy. People have justified child labor for "freedom to work" and denied public restrictions. Even Japanese samurais went to Brazil as immigramt workers. The classic sci-fi novel "Time Machine" was illustrated how future humans will evolve and separate into the capitalist race and the laborer race. Actually conservativists have been fond of socialists back then. Later Hayek proclaimed he is not a conservative because they have attacked freedom.
After series of economic crisis in early 20th century, the world became more nationalistic / protectionistic place. However communism rised and conservativists said good bye to socialism and gradually fused with libertarian / capitalist ideologies. True color of conservativism is always oppourtunism and a trimmer.
I expect sometime soon the world will turn back as it has done in past, (prehaps after the self destruction of EU) but at the same time another extreme ideology could rise. Stay conservative is the key.
