Maybe.
Maybe.
Sure.
no because the base story sucks. only reason people like IT is because tim curry. also the children act horrid in the trailer
>only reason people like IT is because tim curry
Tim Curry wasn't in the book.
Also I like It and I've never seen the Curry miniseries.
Only if they include that scene in all it's detail. ;)
S.King
GOIN OFF THE RAILS ON A CRAZY TRAAIN
WB doesn't know how to make good movies
>DUDE, GAY PEOPLE ARE PSYCHOPATHS LMAO
Probably not, Stephen King absolutely fucked up the ending on this story. I don't think they will try to make a better ending, if they would be even able to. Might be fun but nothing memorable.
Will what be good?
Who has time to read 1,100 pages of fiction? I don't get some of you fags.
and?
MOMS
It'll have too many callbacks to the former film for comfort
Have you read the book? The gay character is a psychopath
Nah Finn has said that they followed the book very well and Stephen King on his twitter said he found the movie a surprise meaning it will be good
>taking King's word on anything these days
ya dun goof'd.
Anyone else wanna see a Derry tv show kind of like Twin Peaks as it goes into the lives of many families etc? It could work.
The book gives heaps of character backstories and it would be easy to an an episode on each person
which one is the gay one? Don't remember them depicting that in the miniseries
More like ShIT
Nah King is right. Altho who knows if they will do reshoots. Hope not
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I HOPE THEY CUT OUT THE AUTISTIC SCREECHING AND RUNNING OF PENNYWISE IN THE TRAILER
I have never seen the mini series.
In the book, the bullies are lighting their farts when Patrick starts to give Henrey a handjob and asks if he can suck him off. Henrey hits him on the head and calls him a faggot and walks away as Patrick screams "BUT YOU GOT A BONER!"
Beverly watches the whole thing
OOH AH AH AH
This is childish but I laughed. Thought I'd let you know.

Beep beep Richie
Oh man that would be so cool. I'm re-reading the book ATM and some of my favourite parts are the interludes about the town's history, and how It is always somewhere in the background.
>It's a Ben gets turned on by Beverly's ankle bracelet episode
Doesn't seem to be a Patrick in the miniseries
Same here. Very comfy with how King describes so much.
I can picture Dale Cooper drinking coffee and interviewing locals hah
Someone post the scene from the book
>HBO intro logo
>Episode 1 Intro begins
>Lighting from the sky hitting the ground and creating a massive crater
>Title: DERRY comes on screen
I AM THE FIRESTARTER
TWISTED FIRESTARTER
lel it was pretty autistic.
>cutting out the scariest part
Oh shit
Lights, Camera, Madness
the fuck
three cocks in ass?
who draws this
somebody who didn't read that 1000 pages of autism.
>Then down comes Mr Bean
worksafe board you piece of shit, I'm sitting on a train
what was it?
Orgy in the tunnels from the book.
good, gut.
but was it a pic?
like this
It was an artist's depiction of them having sex.
yes. from the banned '89 french version.
Did they really make them gay?
>french
Every time
well, he had to.
portraying gay childporn will be much more tolerated than gangrape.
SOMEBODY STOP ME
None of the Looser's Club members were ever gay. They all really liked Beverly
k everybody knows the directors were italian.
I didn't get the thing that they all were in love with her and that she was in love with all of them that was hinted at in the miniseries
I read the entire Dark Tower series during a deployment when I was in the Navy. When you're doing 12 on/12 off shifts pretty much every day for 7 months straight, and no other options for entertainment, you can get a lot of reading in. Lately, because I drive a lot for my job, I've gotten into audiobooks. Just started listening to The Stand, after years of being curious.
THAT'S NOT SCARY JUST STUPID.
CUT IT OUT CUT IT OUT CUT IT OUT CUT IT OUT
CUT
CUT

...
You should get into philosophy books my man. It's food for the soul. And thanks for your service; sorry for insulting you with my original post.
This. Also the art direction is godawful. The thread just shows how pleb Sup Forums is.
Has anyone here ever read the book? The only other King I've ever read is The Stand (and in my ignorance I mistakenly bought the extra long "directors cut" edition) and I wasn't particularly blown away by it. But I always hear this is King's magnum opus and given the hype lately I've been thinking about picking it up.
This post isn't masturbating over the corpse of David Foster Wallace, so I wouldn't dream of asking it on /lit/
Reading the book without ever seeing the mini series, this is a 9/10 book that goes so much into character developments and backstories that no other back has ever done. Also it has such terrifying demonic encounters.
Listen to the audiobook read by Steven Weber. A masterpiece!
I think it would get less criticism if it weren't for Beverly's tunnel tag team.
All I am seeing is Pennywise from the behind the scenes.
Where is the Werewolf, Mummy, Lochness Monster?
Pennywise just isnt scary looking hence he isnt MEANT to be actual scary which is why he transforms into other creatures. I just hope they actually show this instead of many scenes of an autistic clown chasing then like the trailer showed
but that's the only good thing in this autism diary that i can masturbate to.
That's so true about /lit/. Only DFW and James Joyce discussion.
Steven King's It has it all
>Coming of age story
>Horror
>History of a fictional town
>Character biographies
>Some sci fi themes
What's not to like about it?
An uncomfortable scene about 11 year olds having rough sex in a tunnel?
>Stephen King absolutely fucked up the ending on this story
What's wrong with it? The two pages of sex isn't the ending. You haven't read the book.
Thats not even 5% of the book... stop talking about it
I don't see why you're so obsessed with that scene. Are you trying to be funny? Witty?
It's the literary equivalent of this noise: youtu.be
Just throws everything off cause I'm hard for the rest of the book.
no.
it's hot.
I'm going to give you a weapon.
I first read IT many years ago when I was 11 and then again when I was 17. The sex scene between the Losers fit into the story and even as a youngster I did not find it a huge deal. Is this generation really so fucking childish?
....o-ok?
>someone finally makes R34 of the scene
>It's by some weirdo anal gape fetishist
Come on, man....
My thoughts exactly. That r34 had serious potential but they fucked it up.
New Penny is so cute.
It's the turning point in the story, where they finally band together to confront their fears. A literal coming of age moment where they leave their childhood behind. It is a disturbing scene made all the more potent by the choice the author made to include it at all. King didn't need that scene, but he did it anyway, and that decision will be discussed as long at the story is relevant.
so is new Sheldon.
"Omg orgy tho D: did ya hear me? There's an orgy guys" isn't discussion.
Gays are sociopaths actually.

Back to deviant art with you.
What page is the gangybangy part in? Asking for a mate
Who could resist?
Painfully true.
MOMS GONNA FREAK

So how do I go about asking my friend to see this with me? I don't want him to think of it as a kids movie because all the main stars are kids (thinking about it, it pretty much is a kids movie).
>sup want to go see IT?
Are you retarded?
k I will wait until October to ask him
>mfw have to wait 2 years for part 2
>this costs $500
Pretty good for a fan made toy
Hopefully Sideshow or Hot Toys release an It figure for the new movie depending how many are hyped for the movie and are intrigued in seeing it
Tim Curry has scarier face but Silver suit is by far the better clown suit
I don't like the teeth though of the new It. Looks too small in the trailer. Hopefully he changes and morphs to have fangs
It's rated R you retard. What are you doing?
