What's funnier is that we're led to believe the story, plot, and identity or let's just say even the name alone, of the series is so integral to whatever they want to do with it that they absolutely cannot fathom people of the world going to see the next Rock and Statham team up movie regardless

The Rock, Tyrese and Statham were the only good parts of F8 so I'm ok with this.

I was watching Furious 6 recently and never realized how integral Paul Walker was to the entire series.

It was fun, but it's probably over now. A Jason Statham/The Rock spinoff could carry for 3 movies but no more.

It should have ended at F7 but it didn't. They'll keep milking it until the day it stops being profitable, which may not be for a long while?

His Cali accent is also a welcome change from everybody else. Without him, who is Diesel gonna bounce off of? None of the other characters, even Letty, have the same level of interactions.
