I went in expecting "what's going on aunt Diane" type of thing but what I got was a lot of Bane

It was pretty much just okay, I really genuinely enjoyed the first two episodes a lot, but holy god it was absolutely memeworthy apart from that. Delaney was such a freak with so many fucking weird character quirks and Sup Forums had a field day with him, gruntposting was so much fun. It was Peaky Blinders fanfiction with all the interesting side characters taken out. The show was so focused on Lord Bane that it left everyone else adrift, it was the purest example of a vanity project. There was no real plot or themes or meaningful character interactions, just Tom Hardy walking into rooms and threatening people over and over.
