Legit question.

What is more impressive? Canada's 29 medals in a variety of sports, or Norway's 38 statpadded skiing medals?

I'm going with variety.

Norway desu. Literally half the population of Belgium yet they're still holding it down with ease and finesse.

medals per capita

Canada, since you lost out on the Ones that you are supposed to be good at

It's easy to get medals when all you have to do is ski an extra 50 km 25 times and pick up 10 medals because of it.

It's like Phelps vs. Bolt.

Bolt doesn't get the chance to run one race, then turn around the next day and do the same race backwards and call it two different medals.

If it weren't for skiing Norway would be nothing.

Missing the curling medals and gold in women's bobsleigh really hurts.

Fucking refstone and refbob.

IN addition, it's seriously not as if you (or us) are lacking the landscape, weather, the requisite sport culture, or even the skiing facilities so North Americans are among the very last people than can accuse the Norwegians of statpadding in skiing.

It's almost as retarded as all those angry foreign shitskins who claim that the US summer olympics teams statpads in swimming. Swimming pools exist all over the fucking planet.

>norway's statpadded skiing medals?
>posts a canadian skiier
lol

>It's easy to get medals when all you have to do is ski an extra 50 km 25 times and pick up 10 medals because of it.
Then how come the rest of us aren't doing it?

Nah man.
Winter olympics is all about expressing your how your culture interacts with cold climate.

Most important thing is winning the events that represent your culture.

Norway won the ski bowl
Netherlands won the skating bowl.
USA won the snowboard bowl

Canada lost the ice hockey and the curling bowl

Norway. They're laying waste to the competition while the Inuktituks are winning meme medals in competitions no Loonie cares about and struggling with medals which, in theory and practice, they should be winning.

Because the rest of us are winning medals in other sports.

Being good at one thing isn't impressive.

Norway. We needed hockey and Curling to be GOAT.

Does Canada have a gigantic doping program?

we got gold at the events we like, plus some extra

canada...well

No, it does not.

Norway desu. I'm not bashing Canada, in fact If you were trying to criticize any other country then i'd happily join in a session of bumptious and annoying North American bullying of other countries, but the fact both of us have been utterly shown up by a country with that small a population is to be respected.

One bad year, big deal. Not like we haven't dominated curling and hockey for the last 20 years for the most part.

All they do is ski. Big deal.

Yes. OAC 2022.

We've been terrible in skiing this year. We've taken medals in alpine and speed skating for fuck sake.

>Didn't even medal in 50km
>BTFO in biathalon

Disgrace.

Norway doesn't have a cool leader like us.

although far from our strongest suit, we were supposed to medal in snowboarding too

Great Britain at the Winter Olympics has been more impressive than any other country.
>no snow or ice
>get 5 medals in the snow and ice olympics

We would've taken #1 in golds at Sochi too if the Russians hadn't ACTIVATED IT during the last sprint at the 50km.

kys

We don't even have our GOATs like Bjorndalen and Northug this time.

This

norway

most of our medals are just for speed skating or some sort of downhill+jump, and most of those are from quebec because of funding

Gross.

what was he thinking?

>electing a soy-based president

Less asthmatics

>this will stops the sikhs from voting for singh

so he's playing 4D^tim hortons*(syrup) chess

Norway easily.

Great post

Norway scored in 4 sports.
Canada scored in 3 sports, 3 judged events, 1 hobby.

Ski jumping is a judged event.

So 3 - 3 then, drawn game. What the leaf is complaining about?

you use the word "variety" too loosely for Games were most events are "going down an ice hill in a variety of way, manners, vehicles and styles"

You mean like football, rugby, basket, us foot, volley, handball etc are "moving a ball in a variety of ways, manners and styles" right?

Only gold counts, faggot.

no one cares about overall medal count. well get another gold tomorrow and top the chart. golds are all that matter.
