This Doctor Jekyll & Mr. Hyde cartoon aired on Nickelodeon in the early 90's. They actually didn't cut away the 2 times Mr. Hyde beat people to death or how he kidnapped (and killed off-screen) a woman.
Go to 10:19, 17:22, and 29:57. They wouldn't be able to get away with this today.
