Ayo don't mind me white boi, I'm just pirating your life

Wrong board

>Wrong board
is it?

>too poor to buy the movie anyway
>pirates it instead
>therefore having no impact on the sales

He's actually helping the man's economy. He wasn't going to pay for that wallet anyway.

Pirating his wallet would mean that you copy it and its contents without him losing the original.
Counterfeiting money is closer to pirating.

No need to threaten me, Master Jedi, I'm just pirating THE SENATE.

no prob man, ill just re download a new one for free.

Is this the MPAA's attempt to bring those "YOU WOULDN'T DOWNLOAD A CAR" ads to the internet?

Why don't you pirate this fist to your face?

You can't steal 1's and 0's placed in a specific way.

Basically.

Don't mind me, I'm just watching Game of Thrones

You can't steal letters placed in a specific way eitherâ„¢.

It's okay because the Jews care more about your soul than your money.

supply and demand are only necessary if you need capitalism to function in order to distribute resources.

Haven't seen this dude in years

...

the MPAA announced recently it was abandoning the warning letter thing.

This is what they're doing now.

yes you have.

>Obtaining a digital copy of a video without taking the original is theft

Makes sense in the case of supplies that aren't unique because you'd only need one original copy. Then everyone can go home and not worry about actually creating a paperclip again. Not the case intellectual property. Especially since you're doing things backwards. If you wanted a society where every normie who isn't a collectible obsessed idiot (unlike most nerds who pirate now that might still buy your DVD boxset) you'd need to make basic necessities and non-digital entertainment able to be pirated first. And before you go
>muh music industry
remember that musicians and labels can still earn money from concerts and merch, both of which are very popular. Other mediums don't have this luxury.
If that's not the case and you make entertainment piracy widespread before non-entertainment piracy (literally pirating a car), digital creators, or creators who distribute digitally still have an incentive to get paid for their work since money still has value and can be used to buy cars, and clothes, and food, and any other physical good. But this can never happen. Entertainment piracy will always come first for obvious reasons. And by not providing them with this cash they need since piracy is limited to those entertainment mediums, you're stiffing their creative drive and forcing them to find another way to get by - unless you're drawing furry porn and living off patreon dollars, you're going to feel the heat as piracy becomes more mainstream.

The more interesting question is this

Is it okay to pirate blueprints for 3D printed objects?

Only if you have permission from the creator. Why should the act of them putting something on the internet with the hope that people operate within the law and use their content the way they ask make it morally okay to violate that trust? It'd be like showing off your film at an art's fair, some guy running in and taking a DVD you were going to sell, copying it, then distributing the copies to every retard in a 3 mile radius. Does it really matter at that point if he puts the original copy back?

>tfw soon you'll LITERALLY be able to download a car

>remember that musicians and labels can still earn money from concerts and merch, both of which are very popular.
>but movies can't get money from ticket sales and mech no

>anti-pirate trolls from Sup Forums trying to invade this shithole.
You stepped into the wrong neighborhood.

It doesn't matter, 3d printers are pretty fucking expensive, unreliable or produce shitty quality products or with ubersmall size.

Give it another 20 years and ask again, maybe then will be relevant.

Can't wait until virtual reality means you really can pirate the experience of going to a concert. Then they're really fucked.

A good question is what good or service actually can't be pirated in a world of 3D printing and virtual reality?

>pirated all my movies since 03
>see all you cucks PAYING for the jews to rob you
>mfw

...

I forgot the only mediums in existence were movies and music. But theater attendance is declining and I don't know what kind of merch Anomalisa would sell. Maybe that's why capeshit continues to be so popular? They can just sell a bunch of cheap plastic shit to kids and consumerist nerds to rake in even more dough. I want to encourage that even more. That's the future for me!
