Was Charles Xavier the true villain in Logan?

Was Charles Xavier the true villain in Logan?

>know you're being chased by mercenaries intent on killing you
>accept an offer to eat and sleep in the home of a family while being pursued
>get the entire family brutally slaughtered
>it's all okay because I had a good night

Something doesn't sit right with me about this.

the true villains were the writers

Don't question my writing, goy.

He was senile and had dementia. Give the guy a break.

Xavier didn't say it was okay because he got a full nights sleep. Although Logan should have known better.

>tfw too smart for capeshit plots

This he even says I know I shouldn't feel this way but it was blah blah blah. Still never really got this father/son vibe from Logan and Charles in like majority of the movies so that seemed really forced like Wolverine hasn't just killed him?

He accepted the dinner because they needed a contrived second act where drama can take place.

The film is shit post-casino, with the only good scenes being X's bedtime confession, Logan burying X and Logan and Laura arguing in the car.

>implying it wasn't all for the corn

I don't get what he remembered that he did?
He died before he could explain did he kill mutants or something?

Please refrain from posting Dafney. My heart cant handle it

Logan was like his most failure of a student, they even go into that. Charles was trying to keep Logan's connection to humanity instead of letting him spiral into depression and it works.

>he doesn't want me to dafnepost
You sicken me

Why did Logan kill him at that point?
Like he saved him the entire movie then decides to kill him when he's at peace?
I dont get that motivation at all.

while watching i had a strong feeling the original plot went like this:

> Logan and black guy go off to fix the pump
> while they're there they fight the ranchers, and maybe fight some of the company thugs
> they get back to the home at daybreak
> black wife says Charles died peacefully in his sleep.
> Logan lays the body in the back of his truck and senses danger is coming
> they leave, the black family waving them off. Logan thinking about what Charles said about family

you fucking know some faggot jew producer sent "notes" to make the script more exciting in that part.

Yeah he had a attack/episode like they showed us three times and exploded there brains I guess. They allude to it by mentioning "back East" a few times. Also I guess he admits he was running away so they couldn't face there problems like Logan couldn't face his.

It's an externalized representation of Logan's internal conflict. Part of him wants to detach himself from humanity and just go die in a boat on the ocean all alone with his sole responsibility being personal attachment debt to Xavier. He actively fights against that because Dafne has gained meaning through their time spent together so even without Xavier or random dead family he still has that little bit of X-men tier heroism in him. He knows it's pointless because the comic is bullshit but he goes with it to be a hero to a little girl rather than selfishly commit suicide.

Why did no one object to this idea? You'd think Laura would be flipping the fuck out at the idea of stopping, especially at a home with a family. Are they all psychos?

bullshit

they wanted edgelord blood and gore, throwing all common sense out of the fucking window

I didn't say you could download my photo.
DELET

Morally bankrupt, left wing, Hollywood writers are incapable off creating morally consistent characters and stories.

Fucking this. They butchered poor Charles and couldn't even do him the courtesy of giving him a noble death.

Last week some user convinced me to slow down with the dafneposting so it doesnt turn people off from her. I figure that was the reason we stopped making 3 300+ post dafne threads a day.

Where'd you find that photo? Post the full thing faggot.

Was this picture taken since the movie came out?
Yeah they kind of sent him out on a really bad note. He being a piece of shit.

Did you miss the part where he was a senile fart barely keeping it together? You need to unfuck yourself, boy, you need to pay attention to the shit you watch and stop playing with your goddamn nintendoes.

They did an excellent job handling the character. I dread to watch the movies the fatties here would write.

it's an old picture

>I like corm

It was taken on July 2nd 2016 during a hospital visit. It was on her talent agency's instagram. There are other photos from the hospital but I'm not posting them because there are a ton of family members and someone who's probably dying in it. At least they looked like they were dying.
Probably a good idea.

So he just lost all his ability to reason?

Have you ever met a really old person?

Just post them nigger
Maybe? He was completely fucked up and emotionally unstable. He probably forgot they were even being chased.

They still know right from wrong. Why fellate Mangold's hackish cock?

Saw this movie today. What was killing Logan exactly? Adamantium poisioning? I've seen all the mainline XMen movies and don't remember that.

Also, why did all the other kids speak such better English than the girl, and why was that one kid full on Wesley Snipes black? Shouldn't he have been half Mexican?

Yeah dementia does that.

Adamantium poisoning on top of anti-mutagen stuff they were administering to the entire country/world. His healing factor couldn't keep up because the powers were being suppressed. Probly also causing Xavier's shit but he was significantly more human.

Apparently Laura was full Canadian and just spoke spanish because of her caretaker. I think the mothers were just surrogates.

Yes. Do you even know what dementia is?

>They still know right from wrong.
Not if they have alzheimers, or dementia. Also you're assuming he was right minded enough to evaluate all the risks. The only problem there was james even listening to him.

I thought it was interesting how he shows poor judgment but still seems like he must be "wise" since he has the same voice he had when he was wise. That's one of the creepiest things about dementia irl

Simple. Instead of having Charles go out feeling defeated and worthless, you have his dying moments lock up everyone like it did at the casino, cut short not by him getting his shot, but instead, by him dying. In those dying moments, you have Logan and X-23 escape, Logan understanding what's happening and why. due to a combination of distance and effort, Callban still blows the van, and we see that Charles is communicating with X-24:

>"You poor man. All they ever taught you was rage and pain and blind obedience. Consider this my gift to you."
>Flashes of Logan's and Charles's time with the X-Men stutter to life in X-24's head.

The survivors enter the house to find Charles dead and X-24 unconscious. The family survives, the father defending them with the shotgun. The mercs decide it's going to be more trouble than it's worth to try to take them out under the circumstances and leave.

The final fight plays out largely the same with one crucial difference. Over the course of Logan and X-24's fight, X-24 seems to become increasingly confused, and we see X-23 frantically searching for a gun that will chamber the adamantium round but failing to find one. He still impales Logan, but as he closes for the kill, he hesitates and for the first time, he speaks:

>X-24: "I know you. Who are you?"
>Logan: "I'm what you could have been. I'm what you still can be."

X-24 turns on his handlers, helps the children win, and buries his "father" along with his "sister."

That sounds cheesy as fuck

Still wouldn't work cause Logan really only ambiguously gives a fuck if anyone lives or dies.
