>Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson hinted Wednesday that former Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush might be considering an endorsement.
>"I can't say that we haven't had conversations," Johnson said in a Wednesday afternoon conversation on CNN from Cleveland. "But no push on the conversations."
wouldn't that be the absolute worst thing to happen to his campaign though?
Jordan Rogers
It's almost like Yeb has a fetish for losing.
Xavier Torres
WELL FUCK ME THIS WILL TURN HIM AROUND FOR SURE. IV BEEN ON THE EDGE OF MY FUCKING SEAT LIKE MANY OTHERS WONDERING IF JEB WAS ALIVE. EVERY DAY I GET HAMMERED AND SEND JEB SEXUALLY HARASSING EMAILS TO HIS CAMPAIGN WEBSITE BUT NO RESPONSE.

Jason Edwards
what a complete faggot. >i talked to some total fucking loser and that's enough for me to say he might endorse me
Alexander Campbell
Please let this happen. I will finally be able to use my ¡Yeb! memestash again.

>jeb thinks his endorsement means anything
Charles Gray
I hope so, I miss that beta autist.
Alexander Murphy
The LP has been getting increasingly more cucked and centralised. When the libertarian candidate gets even close to an endorsement from a Bush, you know it's time to abandon ship.
Luke Ortiz
This would be a stupid move. Johnson could easily get all the fringe voters that aren't interested in Trump, and those that won't vote for the establishment and thus won't vote for Hillary.
Considering it's already known David Koch has pledged money to his campaign, an endorsement from Yeb would eliminate any sign he might have had as a non-establishment choice.
Christian Diaz
As a Libertarian that endorsement would be fucking horrible. I hope he isn't serious about accepting a Jeb Bush endorsement. What the fuck is happening to the LP right now? They are the anti-liberty party between Webb and Johnson. I've said before that Gary Johnson would fuck the party over if he was ever nominated, and here we are. He nominated Webb for his Veep pick, and he's trying to push the party to be more like Republicans with a mix of gun grabber dems. It's disgusting.
Nicholas Long
Weld I mean, although Webb is another piece of shit that should have nothing to do with the party.
Carter Jackson
The Libertarian Party is never going to amount to anything other than possible spoiler in U.S. politics.
Their convention was a fucking freak show, and I'm not just talking about the stripper. At one point the Libertarian delegates booed someone for supporting driver's licenses - they see those as a tool of the state.
This is the party that came within an inch of nominating child porn advocate Mary Ruwart to be their presidential nominee in 2008... she ended up coming in second to Bob Barr.
45 years of existence, and not one Representative, Senator, Governor or anything of importance.
Noah Moore
How many piss bottles do you think yeb has collected by now
Jose Morgan
HOLD ON ONE SECOND, I'M FUCKING PISSED

FUCKING REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Ian Bell
But did Yeb! give Gary his secret Guac recipe?
Lucas Wright
For some reason the LP is way too concerned about name recognition, and that's how I felt about Bob Barr. He was a piece of shit that signed the patriot act, got kicked out of office, and then came back as republican-lite. He wasn't anywhere near as destructive as Johnson is. It's the itch that the party has to pander to the mainstream that consistently fucks them over. It's only gotten worse, and it wouldn't surprise me if at some point Jeb runs as a libertarian nominee for something and truly poisons the party for me. Let's just face it Jeb is done, he'll be lucky to win a mayoral race at this point with how badly he was wrecked in the republican debates.
Gabriel Perry
Johnson's strategy seems to be to pick up all the normies from both parties who don't like Trump or Hillary. That means a lot of moderates, and Jeb isn't unpopular among moderates. It's interesting, and probably a better gamble than trying to pick up the fringes in an election dominated by candidates like Sanders and Trump. I don't know if it will win him anything, but it might get him the 15% he needs to get into the debates, and that's his main focus right now.
Caleb Roberts
Most so-called moderates are voting for Hillary. Johnson could have capitalised on Sander's dissatisfied voters, but he isn't doing that. Getting them would very easy, as plenty of Libertarian ideals fit with what they want.
Gavin Bell
He clearly believes that he can pull voters away from Hillary, and, honestly, polls suggest he might be right. He pulls pretty evenly from both Republican and Democrats. Everything I've been seeing out of him suggests that he's really interested in seeing how far the LP can dig into Democrat territory this year, after so many cycles of taking almost solely from the GOP.
Christopher Bailey
my friends and fellow americans, the battle is not lost.
Eli Butler
YEB! NO
John Edwards
>Jeb isn't unpopular among moderates
He got like 2% of the Republican vote before he dropped out.
Oliver Davis
jeb is a mess
James Cruz
I'm not saying that his endorsement will mean a ton, but it's not going to drive anyone away. And a lot of that support base he could have been picking up was going to Rubio and Kasich. Still not a lot of support in the Republican primaries, but, assuming Johnson got all of that, it would definitely be enough to get him over 15%. And there are likely independents who would have felt more comfortable voting for Jeb than either Trump or Hillary. The point is, Jeb's endorsement wouldn't have a big impact for the main two party candidates, but for a third party trying to get that minimum viability people need to believe in to vote for, it has the potential to be important.
