Dawn of the Dead for me
As a fan of carpenters, i have never seen ghost of mars. Is it worth watching?

Thirst is great.

I fucking love it, but it's very divisive. It plays into its own artifice and convoluted story structure a lot and it's VERY campy, even by Carpenter standards.

Pontypool

comfyhorrorcore

Pontypool
Beyond the Gates
The Innkeepers

Day of the Dead is both comfier and superior.

is that young ice cube?

what does comfy horror mean? horror is meant to be the opposite of comfy

the movies you listed are great btw, but they dont strike me as even slightly comfy type movies

Apples and Oranges, I wouldn't call Day of the Dead conventionally comfy though

You cant beat the mall aesthetics and goblin soundtrack

Comfy is a genre of movie

THE NINTH GATE

I swear, I could watch that movie over and over and over.

yeah but how are movies centered around death, suffering, corruption and monsters comfortable?

when i think of comfy movies I think of shit like harry potter, Lord of the rings, Totoro and back to the future. You know, happy and uplifting stuff with lots of atmosphere and nice music

There is arguably no comfier feeling then being snuggled up in a cozy place with the knowledge something spoopy is around but can't get you. Lot of horror movies evoke this. Being safe in a cabin but knowing a monster is outside is top comfy.

>when i think of comfy movies I think of shit like harry potter, Lord of the rings, Totoro and back to the future
