If Cruz had stopped talking when he was supposed to, everyone would have thought him a dick but whatevs., his speech was actually half decent to that point talking about party unity and congratulating Trump. Instead he kept talking and letting it sink in that he was not only not endorsing Trump, but also using the convention to set up his bid for a 2020 run. That's why everyone got pissed. It wasn't the expected non-endorsement which got everyone riled. It was Cruz being a fucking cunt.
