Add on that it seems that a video of a black person being killed by the police and not getting any punishment for that is a monthly thing. Most of these people are caught up in traps all throughout our society that hurts their chances of survival, and this is a major reason why many of them turn to crime. People here like to meme about black people getting everything from the government, but in reality that's not how it works and even a tiny amount of critical thought would discredit that. While many of them do recieve some sort of wellfare that's almost never enough to provide for them and their families because most of them were never taught how to responsibly handle money and other blights on all american society like addiction and commodity fetishism. We can complain about the scary evil black men all we want, but there are ways to fix this that we aren't taking because it does not properly align with the philosophy of hyper individualism that so many people subscribe to.

The truth is that this issue isnt about race at all.
Just like every other domestic issue in this country this is a case of police departments being under funded and overwhelmed.
We can't afford to give all of our officers proper training, and we can't afford to pay them high enough wages to attract quality talent.
Many officers don't do it for the money and are just trying to make their communities better places to live.
Other officers however (far too many) joined either because they are bullies with no other marketable skills than being a brute, or they were rejected by the military.
Imagine that dumb guy you went to school with who slept in the back of the classroom and went around pushing over nerdy kids. The guy who thought he was cool and popular but never learned anything and secrely everyone talked shit about him behind his back.
Now picture that guy unable to find any sort of job other than being a cop.
Now imagine this guy in a training seminar on proper application of force.
It only takes one of these guys getting into a situation where they have the opportunity to fire their gun and we can see why shootings like these happen

The issue is more complex than any one argument can portray it as. There is no sole cause for all this, it's a combination of thousands of factors in everyones lives. The police being underfunded is a problem in many places, but to say that racism plays no part is just ignorant. I don't believe the fault ever is just one persons, society shapes us and our actions more than our personalities do, and the way relations between people in America right now are just create conflict. There is no easy solution, but if we don't start trying to fix things now we'll pass the tipping point.
