Didn't you notice how no one mentions the internet even when researching the abductor, the fact there are no mobiles except in the prologue, in fact all the other phones are corded models, the 70s/80s decor and appliances in Jay's house, how antiquated the televisions look (some of them look like 50s models) and the fact they only show black and white monster movies, college students playing the card game Old Maid etc etc
