Wtf

Europeans use reverse decimals?

I just learned this and it's retarded

only continental mongs

here in dayewkay we use normal decimals

no it's not

It's actually better but nip like you can't understand the gretness of this system

>Japanese
>not Europeans
Since when are you not Europeans?

Your system is actually the reversed.

>the british are proud of spreading their retardation

Comma is easy to see so it's only natural to use for decimals.
Point on the other hand can be useful only to help you visualize the number

all civilized countries use commas for decimals, spaces or dots ar separators

Honestly it's objectively worse. The period indicates a longer pause in writing after all, but whatever.

2bh I think it's more common to find 1'000'000,00 rather than 1.000.000,00, at least here in Italy.

In Switzerland when on a PC we use a dot: 1'000'000.123.
But we use a comma when writing by hand: 1'000'000,123.

>defending something as retarded as this

Chile also uses commas for decimals
get fucked

using dots as separators is retarded and confusing. Space makes more sense and is easier to read

1 000 000.00
any other way is niger tier

"No"

"No"
1,00,000.00 is the correct way

>American education

Lakh/Crore numbering is for people who shit in the streets.

Decimal comma doesn't have the same ring to it as decimal point.

i just forgot to put an extra zero calm down

> It further reaffirmed that "numbers may be divided in groups of three in order to facilitate reading; neither dots nor commas are ever inserted in the spaces between groups"[14] (e.g. 1000000000). This usage has therefore been recommended by technical organizations, such as the United States' National Institute of Standards and Technology.
niggers

thats 1 000 000 000
> "for numbers with many digits the digits may be divided into groups of three by a thin space, in order to facilitate reading. Neither dots nor commas are inserted in the spaces between groups of three" Other style-defining bodies are also moving toward this clearer notation. For example, the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) suggest never using a comma or a point as thousands separator: "For numbers with many digits, the digits may be separated in groups of three, counting from the decimal sign toward the left and the right. The groups should be separated by a thin space (half space), and never by a comma or a point, or by any other means." The American Medical Association, whose AMA Manual of Style is widely followed in health professions literature, also endorses a space for digit group separator.

>Not counting in myriads
>Not using base 17
>Not using heptadecimal myriads to count
>Not separating said heptadecimal myriads with colons
Any other system is absolutely pleb-tier If you can't express 83,521 as 1:0 you're basically a retard

I thought you were some Indian here on an H1-B.

yeah, this is fucking stupid and illogical. it's called a decimal point for a reason, lads.

yeah thats retarded

This, spaces are easier to read than commas or points.

We save you from the retarded left drive of the british but we cannot save you from this but, for fuck sake use your mutt brain for once

While the entire world uses the International System, we still have some heavily mental handicapped countries that cant understand.

numbers: 1,5 = 3/5
mass: kg
space: meters
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_System_of_Units

Those that dont use it, clearly are not fit to be engineers.

GO BACK TO YOUR GENDER STUDIES CLASS.

well periods mark the end of a sentence. they mark the end of numbers (here). Words or numbers continue after commas. So 25.000 would just be 25. Our system makes more sense.

it is as retarded as the "non reversed" way... why do you even use our numbers?

OMFG you take the cake for the most retarded post.

Your sentence doesnt make any sense.

If a number like 3/5 = 1.5 then it would be 1, BY YOUR LOGIC. Which clearly doesnt not resemble the actual number which is 1,5.

While this is true for words
For numbers this system is utterly shit because comma is easy to spot when you look at the number so it make sense to use for the most important thing (separate decimals).
Points can be used to make visualize how big really is the number but i prefer spaces

>decimal points mark the end of numbers
Is this the mythical American education?

What about 25.9, faggheroni?

Space for distinguishing the amount and commas for decimal numbers, like so :

100 284,347

Any other way is borderline retarded

>3/5 = 1.5
Is Brazilian education held to a high standard too? I'm envious of new world education systems.

alright i meant its the end of the whole number. anyway explain why a comma would go after a period

>1,5 = 3/5

This
And we let them own nukes
Jesus Christ we are fucked

I'm not defending the system, but in this context they're not commas and periods in a linguistic sense. Totally different circumstance.

>3/5 = 1.5

what the fuck is wrong with you

holy fuck he typed it TWICE
Mutt minds think alike

Comma means "wait there's more".
Point should have no space in numerical rapresentation

and he called my post the most retarded
dont compare me to this dumbass

>meanwhile he switch responses
Americans on damage control

>quoting completely unrelated replies
are you two competing for the most dumb posts itt? you're both doing a good work there

don't ever gimme yous again

Lmao Eurodumbs

fucking decimal system got me stressing out. sorry for the stupid shit i said. blame my gene pool

>be American
>see non-natural numbers
>start sweating profusely

okay faguette

Who gives a shit about commas and periods?
Billion = 10^12

Peru discussing the real deal here

How do you call 10^9?
In Italy is Miliardo

wrong, obviously
billion is 10^9

yfw you realize thre's less than 10^79 atoms in entire universe

Mil millón. Wish we used millardo though.

mierda

dont be rude Panama

Also, fuck you. Your billions confuse our retards and you made my banking days shit.

Yeah that's how we refer to panama but to 10^9?

1,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,00

...
