based
not based

Why do they allow Nadal to dominate on clay courts? It's not even like he's just 'slightly above average' compared to the top 10, and he just gets lucky during clay season. He just clearly dominated the competition for a decade straight. How are clay courts so different from hard courts that would allow this?

I only played in high school and casually during college. No sane casual organization has clay courts; I imagine they're even more expensive and luxurious than hard courts. Therefore, I have never played on clay courts. Enlighten me.

Thanks man

High bounce, slow, big dimensions, no roofs, hot

game seems pretty even so far
Who you guys going for?

OH NONONONONONONONONONONONO

Attached: hamburger2007.jpg (1419x532, 110K)

>slow, allowing for a defensive beast like nadal to reach everything, you literally need to put on five winners in a row to win a point
>ball is more heavily affected by spin, which makes Nadal's drive go from great to the heaviest hit in tennis(it has ridiculous topspin, iirc it is proven that he hits the ball generating more revolutions p/seg than any other player)

Clay takes a lot of speed off the ball so it's very hard to hit winners.
Basically endurance tennis

I'm rooting for Jizz Sock of course but seems very disrespectful to the legends of dubbles that they would be favourites

Nice edit hahahaha

>implying we are in the 2009 AO

holy shit Bob has some super fast hands
that was amazing

Why does Fed look so old

do the memes justify the ends?

Do you think ESPN knows which one is Bob and which one is Mike?

What the fuck is up with the absolute MEME of the WTA final? An unseeded, overhyped player vs. another even more overhyped low seeded player? Is this seriously the best the WTA has to offer? No top 10 seeds in the final? ...

No. I don't even think they know.

me

Attached: best eyes.jpg (750x937, 72K)

>overhyped player

LMAO stay mad, Dasha is underhyped if anything

I forgot #bsigroup

>seeds=talented players
are you serious dude
did you not even watch the Dasha-Kerber match
kasatkina is 11 in the live rankings and hits like a truck

Isner stop fucking up please thank you

There are some weak top seeds too right now because of the absence of Serena, Sharapova, and Azarenka last year. Now the talented next gen is taking advantage of it and eating them up

She's 11 in the live rankings because she got a couple meme, lucky wins in a row. That wasn't her rank before the tournament.

Also,
>>seeds=talented players
They do. Federer? Sock? Del Potro?
There's a reason they're seeds. They're supposed to regularly make it deep into all tournaments because they are the best in the world consistently. That's pretty much the definition of talent.

maybe for the ATP that's true
definitely not for the WTA
I insist you watch the Kasatkina-Kerber match in full before telling me Dasha got lucky

I’m just watching Fed’s match. Holy, if he doesn’t get his shit together by tomorrow, Delpo is going to blast him off. Also, Coric is as much of a choker as the rest of his coevals.

this is her second tournament final in a row, you're not even watching the matches
she's playing incredibly right now, luck simply isn't a factor

Isner carrying Succ 2bh

I was thinking the other way around

lol
>this is her second tournament final in a row
The Dubai tournament doesn't count man, seriously? She didn't play a single seed in the first 3 rounds. The only good player she beat was Muguruza, and just barely (got lucky in the 2nd set tiebreaker, and went on to win the third set). The got dumpstered in the final. You can't count a meme tournament as 'second tournament final in a row'

go watch the Kerber match you literal retard
you can't call every single fucking player that a new upstart beats "a meme"

>You can't count a meme tournament as 'second tournament final in a row'

"By conditions I deem fair, that doesn't count!"

atpleb fans are used to thinking all next gen players are memes because their's never win anything

>their's never win anything
Marrakech 2017, Marseille 2018, Chengdu 2017, Sydney 2018, Rome 2017, Roger's Cup 2017, Umag 2017
why can't you partisans enjoy both ATP and WTA

Tiebreak again
this has been a really good match so far

they are so good together they need to do doubles more often

eyy they got it

>#Sockner
>#Jacksner
Their nicknames for them aren't as good as ours

>Federer wins
domination is boring fuck feddit

>Nadal wins RG, Monte Carlo and Barcelona 10 times each
Based Rafa keep making history! Vamos!

ah yes the clay season lasts too long really squeezes out the rare chances we get to see federer on hard court

>The either or bollocks
Fuck the arse picker and fedora desu

Attached: jl.png (294x261, 146K)

Federer has won 3 HC slams in 8 years. Unbearable domination.

>leaves out Masters and 500s but uses MC and Barca against Nadal
I too know how to disguise data

Attached: data masks.jpg (498x723, 45K)

>disguise data
Yes, Nadal hasn't dominated on clay more than Federer has on HC. It's just selective statistics. The clay season is very unpredictable and exciting unlike the foregone conclusion we see when Federer is on hard. Vamos Rafa!

I see nothing wrong with your statement
Should I?

I can't even tell the difference between here and /r/tennis anymore.

>Federer welcomed the fact that young players like Chung and Edmund were breaking through. “I think it’s a good thing,” he said. “They got to make a move. I find it disappointing when their breakthroughs come at 27, because then we know them for seven years, let’s say. I like it when we don’t know the guys.
Do you think so-called '''babbyfed''' cried after this?

better the breakthroughs come at 27 than never
I'm just glad Coric got himself out of that rank-48 stagnation

Sup Forums and reddit have been one and the same for quite a time now.

>Soderling only 33
wow he could still come back and play a few years or so if he feels up to it

Whoever edited this in knew 100% what they were doing

Attached: Capture.png (804x30, 4K)

mono fucked his shit up doe also he's coaching ymer

Kuhn is almost in the top 200
kid just needs another Challenger title or something

>that croatian user who always mentally break himself when Coric or Cilic chokes

Now this poses an interesting question: has Nadal ever had to face a decent non-spaniard clay court specialist during his career? And no, Soderling really wasn’t one, despite what his RG finals may lead you to think.

Stan

>The absolute state of Sup Forums being this new to tennis

Sorry to tell you user, but tennis is a sport where young players eventually come up and replace older players.

You just sound new and are not yet aware that what Roger / Rafa / The Williams do is NOT the norm for older players

...

might have to stop watching tennis if dasha loses to osaka

0 good wins

>4 wins over jack sock
>no good wins
m8

why not just enjoy both players?

I want to but I'm too biased for Dasha.

fair enough, she's pretty great

>t is proven that he hits the ball generating more revolutions p/seg than any other player
this is no longer true btw. pipo like Thiem and Succ generate more RPMs than Rafa
aside from Rome and Montreal these are literally whomst tournaments lmoa
ye because nobody ever complains about Rafa during the clay season. are you new to /xyz/
