Felix Gaeta

He did literally NOTHING wrong.

He was absolutely right when he said that Adama had let his affection for a Cylon cloud his judgement
Otherwise, he would have airlocked Colonel Tigh the moment he found out

Which was the worse filler episode?
>Black Market
>Scar
>Unfinished Business
>Woman King

>gaeta was right
is it because he lost one of his limbs?

the one where apollo is fucking a totally unknown and new character
i thought i missed an episode or something

>He did literally NOTHING wrong
He was a fag

The webisodes aren't canon
Neither was Razor

>Alone she sleeps, in the shirt of man

Does anyone understand this line? Seems like they just needed something to rhyme with "hand".

Girls do sometimes put on a dude's oxford but it's usually post-coitus the next morning.

Really the whole song is kind of fucking mysterious. I don't want to say it's retarded, because it's a nice tune and Gaeta has good pipes. But the lyrics are a mess.

Could it that because he's in pain he's delirious and that's why the song makes no sense?

Shit. I literally never thought of that.

Nice user, now it makes perfect sense.

Black Market definitely. BSG as a show was an exercise in brutality but it just felt like misery porn in that episode.

What am I confusing Scar with? I thought it was that one where this black guy escapes cylon captivity on a stolen craft. Fuck now it's bugging me and I don't know how to google it, that's literally all I remember about the episode (and the fact that I really liked it). Is it even the right show?

lol maybe. But hand isn't a hard word to rhyme so I'm more willing to bet the meaning of the line escapes me than the possibility the songwriter was clumsy. I don't think it has to do with a literal man's shirt, since it did point out she's alone.

Hero by far.

You're thinking of Hero with Danny 'Bulldog'

Was black market that ep where apollo tries to save a prostitute from a mob?

Scar is the one about Kara Thrace's vendetta with a rival Cylon fighter that she's been unable to take down.

Yep

IT'S IN THE FRRRRRAKKIN' SHIP

>But hand isn't a hard word to rhyme so I'm more willing to bet the meaning of the line escapes me than the possibility the songwriter was clumsy. I don't think it has to do with a literal man's shirt, since it did point out she's alone.
It's not just that line though, it's like the whole fucking song.

>Alone she sleeps in the shirt of man
>With my three wishes clutched in her hand
>The first that she be spared the pain
>That comes from a dark and laughing rain
>When she finds love may it always stay true
>This I beg for the second wish I made too
>But wish no more
>My life you can take
>To have her please just one day wake
>To have her please just one day wake
>To have her please just one day wake

When you consider he's in pain or hopped up on opioids it makes perfect sense.

Was Season 4 so bad because they were rushed into finishing it and had to come up with something on the spot.

>did nothing wrong
>tried to stop god's plan
nice try

Yup.

This is why you should plan out how many seasons you want in advance, have a story treatment for each one and stick to it.

This "we'll just keep shitting em out until the network tells us to fuck off" is bad for dramas.

That and the writer's strike
I'm so glad I'm not watching anything at the moment

Gonna be getting my shipfu from the model shop next week
Fucking hype

Wait... are you paying someone else to build a model for you?

Who does this?

If I'm mistaken and you are getting an unassembled model, I apologize.

I work with a guy who makes tons of historical ship models and he actually has a Viper Mk II and the Pegasus as well, just for funs.

Why was Lardy Lee so funny. I get the metaphor they were trying to make but seeing Lee in a fat suit suddenly was great.

...

I'm going to get the Moebius kit, the fibreoptic lighting kit and the 2 additional paragrafix sets
I went onto model builder websites and checked some youtube builds and it's not an amateur build. You can't just assemble and paint. You need a lot of tools - full soldering kit, disc sander, mini drill and so on. There's no point my buying all that stuff for something I'll never use again so I figure I'll just find a commissioner.

this desu, if you want a decent paint job an airbrush is a must

t. fell for the scale modelling meme

ah i see. then disregard my comment, i suck cocks

should look awesome all lit up.

It's funnier to me that the actor actually did want to put on real weight for such an insignificant part of his role

Lee Adama was always an uncharismatically honorable character to me so to see him become a petulant fat-ass and even have his generally decent dad call him out on it was fucking hilarious to me

Black Market. I skip it in every one of my repeat viewings.

I haven't watched the show since it aired and I remember Woman King by name as a textbook example of shitty inconsequential filler

The thing is, Black Market was actually a decent concept for an episode. The people of the fleet buying and selling supplies, creating a supply and demand economy for essentials and people taking advantage of it was a good idea.
But it was completely ruined by
>Lee loves a hooker now
>And she's a substitute from a woman we never saw or heard of before
>And it's got Mac
>Lee kills him

He did nothing wrong

>rewatching BSG a couple of months ago
>made it to the boxing match episode
>know that it's all downhill from there
>compelled to watch all of it because can't just abandon a series part-way through

To me the biggest sin of the filler episodes isn't that they're shitty but that literally none of their plot points were ever prefaced with anything and most likely never mentioned after. Why couldn't they just plan ahead?

It's not all downhill, the main narrative goes to shit but there's a smattering of closed arcs that are well worth another viewing. Obviously it differs for everyone but just off the top of my head I remember still feeling impressed with these ones
>s04e04 (unless I'm misremembering it's the one Cally gets murdered after having a complete meltdown, and maybe check in on the following episode just for seeing Chief talk shit about her and how he favoured his yellow princess anyway)
>s04e11 watching the entire crew fall into a depression after Earth and Dualla suicide out of fucking nowhere
>episodes with Father Cavill (people forget how engaging and hilarious that bitter old cunt was)
>the mutiny two-parter as already mentioned
>that episode Hera got kidnapped. waste of a character but it was disturbing seeing Boomer maneuvering and her capacity for spite by beating the shit out of Athena and making her watch as she fucked Helo

Exactly. Like the Chief becoming head of the union we never see or hear from again.

Cavil did have some pretty based scenes
youtube.com/watch?v=wOZ9Q99Nfv8
And I'll admit, the sense of depression and seeing the fleet deteriorate after finding Earth was very well done

But this is exactly the problem - they were the gems
Seasons 1 and 2 were pure, unadulterated sci-fi kino and the first half of Season 3 was great but with Season 4, it instead became finding the occasional gems in a sea of mediocrity

I definitely understand why people generally do not like the last season, it has it's flaws and the ending does seem rushed/incomplete in some areas, but if you don't get choked up when Adama is sitting on the hill talking about laying out the Cabin, you are not human.

I ask this in every BSG thread but I haven't found one yet
Did anybody here buy anything from the show? I mean the props that were all auctioned off afterwards

>You know, I know about farming

That too, so much. Baltar's arc was so good throughout the series.

...

Don't you ever talk about the fragile arc of Gaius FRAKKIN Baltar again

youtube.com/watch?v=7r28iDTNzCE

Source this shit

Writers strike didn't fuck the show till the mid season 4. The studio/network wanted more stand alone episodes for newer viewers since ratings were not reflecting the critical reception the show had up until that point.

not that guy and not really a source but i distinctly remember gaeta actually using the word "fuck" in one of them

...

Is Gauis the best character?

No, that's Cain

Correct. And Shaw was a close second.

I want her to dress up as Satsuki

I would have liked to have seen more of her as XO

racetrack
got the most cylon kills
