Late night TV has turned into their "political talk radio", which the right only KIND OF has a hand in (via Fox News shows) but not really elsewhere.

Who cares if they're accurate? The fact of the matter is that the industry is defined by these ratings and based on current methodology that's how advertising prices are determined. The ratings themselves could be inaccurate as fuck but the industry agrees they are accurate enough to base prices off of, whether you agree with them or not.
