>"It requires payment... in blood."
>Character slices knife straight across their palm
"It requires payment... in blood."
>doesn't immediately tend to the wound
>keep doing stuff for the rest of the movie like it never happened
>has to pee really bad
>slices hand for blood instead of just pissing out their blood
For what purpose?
>move needs somebody to give blood for a ritual or some kind of sacrifice
>its ALWAYS a deep slice across the palm, instead of like on your arm or something where you wont really mind a cut
Id be all like "Nigga, I need my hands man. Cant I just cut somewhere else?"
>character has a precognitive vision
>whole episode is spent talking about how you can't change the future
>they change the future
>we were supposed to actually be worried
>Doesn't scream in agony
>Isn't crippled for the rest of the movie
Why the worst cut?
Not even that much blood, and your hand is useless.
Like, cut a tiny forehead vein and get very easy blood.
I get why they do it, from a practical film making stand point, but I've worked in a warehouse, and sliced my palm wide open on plastic banding, and not only did that shit hurt, but it took forever to heal because you were constantly reopening it every time you did anything with your hand.
>shot in the shoulder
>it's like the wound doesn't even exist
>shot in the leg
>stands on it just fine with MAXIMUM EFFORT
>character points gun at another character
>second character shoots the first on the shoulder
>first character drops to the floor
>doesn't shoot back
it's easier to hide the fake blood sponge on the knife
>doesn't just bring a blood pack with them
...
>Characters have guns pointed at each other
>No one takes a shot even though the other person couldn't possibly respond in time to shoot back
I never understood this movie trope.
>"It requires payment... in blood."
>Character slices orange straight across their palm
Most gunshots aren't instantly fatal.
>doesn't show off by slitting wrist
>Henchman with rifle is taken out by sniper
>Fires the rifle as he falls dead to the ground
How do you pull a trigger when you're dead?
It's from stage performances where a blood packet was hidden in the actors palm. They still do it like that because it was always done like that.
>"It requires payment... in blood."
>Character slices tangerine straight across their palm
No, but the tropes I'm talking about is where the characters are pointing at each other's heads.
>wide shot of character trying to succeed in something
>fails
>breathes in
>intense soundtrack starts playing
>multiple seizure inducing close ups while the character tries again
>this time he succeeds
If you only need a little, fingertips are best. They heal fast and don't scar.
Have you niggers ever done any physical labour? Even shit that bleeds a lot is often not dangerous at all.
>"It requires payment... in blood."
>Character pulls out her tampon
First day on Sup Forums? Is summer upon us already?
>Villain gets caught
>It's all going according to the plan
I've been here since 2012
so nice try
newfag
a cut in the palm of your hand deep enough to make you bleed is really annoying. the skin is very thick, and therefore a cut doesn't easily close.
>the summer meme
Do people really still think this is a thing?

I absolutely loved the final scene in Green Room for avoiding this shit. Was the only one in the theatre and started clapping.
