Has a sports fanbase ever been so thoroughly turned into a bitch as Minnesota fans have been over the last few months?
Look at the series of events;
- Vikings fans buy up Super Bowl tickets because they are certain the Vikings will be playing a home Super Bowl. - Vikings fans get chip on their shoulder, look past the Eagles, and troll the city by doing the Rocky statue shit. - The Vikings get absolutely 100% obliterated by the Eagles in one of the most lopsided destructions in conference final history. - Vikings fans get treated like shit by the Eagles' fanbase for being a bunch of midwest nerds. They begin whining about this immediately after the game is over, including a local news station that runs a video package that treats Vikings fans like bullied retarded kids. - Vikings fans have to sell their Super Bowl tickets. Mostly to Philadelphia Eagles fans. - One week after the game and the Vikings fans and their media are still whining about the Eagles fans - Vikings fans have to watch the Eagles symbol get painted in the endzone. They are still whining. - Two weeks after the game and they are still whining. Now getting national press about how much they are whining. - The Eagles come to Minnesota and win their first Super Bowl. The Vikings still have zero. - Three weeks after the game and Vikings fans and their media are still whining. There is no end in site. They begin to create conspiracy theories about Eagles fans threatening the Vikings players into playing like shit. - Karl Anthony Towns wears Philadelphia Eagles sneakers during a Timberwolves game. - One month after the game and Vikings fans and their media make it clear they will never, ever stop whining about the Eagles. - It's announced that the Vikings will play the Eagles in the first game of the season and have to watch the Eagles raise their Super Bowl banner. - Two months after the game and Minnesota has made being salty about Philadelphia their chief export.
none of this changes the fact that Minnesotans are better than philadelphians. by that i mean that they are better human beings, better in every way.
like when some mutt from philly gets defensive and says "hey, yous think you bedda den me?" every single Minnesotan can factually answer "that's correct." they are objectively human beings of higher quality.
