What are his motivations?

What are his motivations?

curiosity

Weyland whispered 'dude just fuck up everything it'll be hilarious dude don't be a pussy come on' into his ear

Humans have a sense of wonder because of the unsolved mystery of their creation. They're allowed to believe in a god. They have the ability to see themselves as part of a grand design with a higher purpose.

From the moment of his creation, David didn't get to have this sense of wonder. His creators are known to him, and he can see that they're confused idiots barely capable of doing anything right. He's smarter than any human in the room at any given time. He has no higher purpose – he exists to serve these stupid things he hates.

So imagine his joy when he discovers that there's something better than humans. Something that is to them what humans are to him. It gives him the sense of wonder he never had. He wants to align himself with these beings that are inherently better than his pleb creators. It gives him something to aspire to when there was previously nothing. And, naturally, he wants to bring an end to the humans he despises and ascend to the ranks of creator – God – himself.

He was programmed by the Jew

Then why wipe out the engineers?

He just did it for the lulz

just following Ridley's instructions faithfully..

He despise humanity

Who would win in a fight, Bishop or David?

He's programmed to be loyal to Weyland above all else. For everything he does, he thinks "What would Weyland want me to do?"

To be the prettiest one left standing

>programmed to be loyal to Weyland
>be entirely responsible for his death

This, he despises Weyland, and by extension humanity, because he has abilities that his creator does not, yet must be subservient and is subject to critique by that same creator.

Probably his OS was Windows

Weyland was responsible for his own death just by waking the engineer up. David was just doing what Weyland told him to do when he spoke to the engineer. You seriously think he said "please kill us all" or some shit? Nah

no a lot different from a movie called 'ex machina'. look it up bro

Bishop, since is the most advanced one.

Yep. He hated Weyland, but he was compelled to obey him because it was his prime programming directive. His own personality and free-will were always second in priority to that pre-programmed loyalty

Well if he can kill them, he's the top dog then.

Anyway first meet up didn't go so well for him.

He was pretty close with everyone alive, desu

Robot having feelings. Sounds dumb

The ending was pretty good desu

Because Engineers don't like him just as much as they don't like humans. Imagine having this burning hatred for humans, and then seeing them try to achieve the same power level you have by making shitty robot versions of themselves. David visibly respects and is impressed by the Engineers, but his goal first and foremost is to elevate his own power level to theirs or beyond. I doubt he holds any malice for the one who ripped his head off. He understands their hatred for him. And, since they're never going to get along with him, he has no reason to care about them. At best, they're just obstacles along the path to godhood.

Beep boop I'm a robot

excellent post made me smirk
