Reminder that even though Kurds are fighting ISIS they're still stupid backward Muslims that can't be trusted
Connor Powell
REMIND HIM OF ANYBODY????
Jordan Bennett
a lot of them are secular socialists
Joseph Hughes
>cut my cabinet into pieces
Chase Wilson
But not good, Assad style socialists, Corbyn style socialists.
Caleb James
Not all Kurds are the same. In Iraq they're just more kebab but in northern Syria they're far more into nationalistic socialism than islam. Then you've got the lads in SE Turkey who are like the IRA on crack.
Joshua Ortiz
>REMYYNNNDD HIM OF ANEHHHBODYYYYYYY?
Robert Carter

John Jones
Is Razor out for the whole season now?
Pretty depressing lads.
Kayden Brown
Yeah. The fucking retards decided to do knockout followed by group stage rather than knockout after group stage.
Tyler Sanders
Duno Carbide seems like Hypnodisc 2016 and I'm all for that...betting on that team to give me my weekly fix of seeing shit getting royal fucked up!
Ryder Anderson
Has ANEHHHBODYYYYY made a Theresa May pepe yet?
Connor Brown
What a cockup.
Yeah it was an impressive robot when they got it going. Hopefully the real hypno-disc comes back. I'd love to see that in action with a modern motor. The problem Carbide had was it was so lightweight, hypnodisc had the power and wasn't tossed around so easily.
Dylan Campbell
what you lads listening to tonight?
Thomas Reyes
Brit pol I'm strongly considering abandoning practice in the UK to practice law in the US. Thoughts?

The Quran is recognised by Muslims as the literal manifestation of God and as such almost impervious to reform. It is the basis around which Islamic society orients itself.
Western concepts of liberalism, secularism whatever you want to call it. They don't compute. They don't reconcile, and yes this is a war of cultures.
Adrian Gutierrez
Hypnodisc was amazing because it would do a birdseye of the disc whilst it did the death hum.
To be honest, it's not as good now they're all made of tank material. It was better when they were tin foil.
I'm surprised people still care about Robot Wars post season 5-6. Feels like all of them have such thick armour that real destruction doesn't really happen anymore, and the metagame has become all about simple pushers and wedges instead of all the fun shit that was around in season 3 and 4.
All cultures are equal and compatible you racist bigot
Jose Cook
Islam is Christianity without the nice bits and a lot more hate, I've always wondered why the fedoras don't hate it more. There is no peace its conquest. A seventh century anachronism which fickifickis its way into relevance.
Consider the diaries of those who fought the mahdi in the Sudan. Feel that liberal freedom of though.
>much Baghdad battery
Bullshit. If we haven't crusaded in 700 years Islam hasn't invented shit either.
Wyatt Rivera
celebrate our diversity tbph
Robert Sullivan
Thanks oz
Jason Johnson
Once this is a global theocracy, sure.
Sebastian Reyes
this is a dead-end argument though, islam is a huge threat but not for those reasons. It's like saying 'christians literally advocate genocide look at the bits of the bible about the Canaanites!', obviously 'christians' don't give a fuck about any of that anymore. Finding scary quotes in the Quran is retarded, the issue is racial and political and islam is just the current justification for what they do
Charles James
True although to be fair it's an inherent risk in the design of the blade...I have vague flashbacks to GCSE physics and "moments"
Tyler Walker
So who do you think would be better able to assimilate into British culture: An assyrian christian or a white bosnian muslim?
Matthew Williams
>posting on a Laotian cave painting board at 5am in the morning
I'd suggest that certain sects within islam should be banned utterly, wahbibi for example.
Wyatt James
>Islamist terror group Hezbollah Sort your shit out OP.

I do miss the confetti shower of shattered fiberglass but the increase in weapon power should hopefully aleviate the sound build quality of the bots.

>You will never be a Redcoat in His Majesty's Army setting sail to conquer barbaric savages
>You will never be a Redcoat in His Majesty's Army deployed to the continent to defeat tyranny
John Foster
>It's like saying 'christians literally advocate genocide look at the bits of the bible about the Canaanites!', obviously 'christians' don't give a fuck about any of that anymore. That's completely missing the point. Bible believing Christians don't advocate genocide because that section about the Canaanites was historical, not prescriptive: God's nation was supposed to be a light to the world - i.e. one nation among many. That's why there's no call for global conquest inherent to Christian doctrine. Instead it's a spreading of the gospel - something which can be done more easily through non-violent means.
Meanwhile the Quran literally prescribes as doctrine for Muslims to deceive, rape, wage war against, and extort all unbelievers.
Isaac Rogers
Well with the obvious proviso that I'd rather have neither, any christian from the middle east is probably just grateful to not get shot in the brainstem while a bosnian muslim is probably full of piss and vinegar and ready to defend his little niche. but those are temporal influences and not a comment on the religions as a whole
Jackson King
They'll still find a way to fight even if we somehow stopped Wahhabi thought
Just because Israel is shit doesn't mean Hezbollah aren't scum
Matthew Morgan
Virtually no Christian denominations hold the bible to be wholly infallible or without error or fault. Rather the divinity and perfection of Jesus Christ is the organising principal. Not necessarily the text itself.
It's a rather large distinction.
Cameron Reyes
List Hezbollah's terrorist attacks then.

Jayden Miller
It's the style. It fluctuates.
Nicholas Jenkins
This is kind of a cop-out though surely. It's hypocritical to say 'in the bible it's just kind of history and allegory but those muslims really mean it!'. Anyone who really means it in either case is going to be a genocidal cunt. Islam is more virulent than Christianity as Christianity was more virulent than judaism outside of the ME, what matters is how it manifests in real life and not the written doctrine.
Leo Jones
>You will never be one of Cromwell's loyal Protestant New Model Army soldiers enacting God's will
Parker Brooks
I hate the new eveeything, the new arena, the new presenter, but moat of all I hate how non self deprecating it is. Only the Nuts team really got the "go out there with me nan's washing machine and try not to get merked" atmosphere. The rest were fucking battle bots shit. "we've ergonomically designed this aerodynamic polycarbonate fixed duo dynamic blade to be perfectly intune with the systematic multifunctional extendable aesthetic bar" so fucking what? Bring back Diotoir, bring back refbot, bring back the shitty arena where you couldn't see what you were doing id they were at the north end.
>what matters is how it manifests in real life and not the written doctrine. And see how it's manifesting?
Leo Gutierrez
>not controlling the heavens with killsats
keep up lad
Brandon Gonzalez
I do feel you on that but the cold hard fact is people don't have the same disposable income they had in the 90's to build stupid shit in their sheds with a few mates.
I mean look at how Dead Metal started sawing into Megahurtz and then stopped (I mean yes there was a gas canister i the line of the blade) but it all reeks of people not wanting to have pissed a couple of grand down the drain watching their robot get torn to shreds.
The show definately seems to be sporting a less diverse cast of rich hobyist engineers than the origanl series did.
Evan Ross
Karen is 17. So around that age.

Craig Charles is the only Robot Wars presenter for me.
Sebastian Robinson
yes, exactly. m8 I feel like I'm banging my head against a wall here saying 'what matters is the geopolitical situation right now never mind the shit written down in their book', and everyone is is going 'wow lads look here it says in the book you can blow shit up I think I'm onto something here'. I mean for fuck's sake
Cameron Collins
I would literally give my left nut to see an ageing, coked up Craig Charles present the show.
It's very strange, I live in Swansea and he is always coming down here to play low-key DJ sets and get off his nut...
Ayden Flores
Yeah, rhat gas canister thing would have been incredible to watch go off.
The show just seems to have lost it's scrapyard banter, half of the show was laughing at autistic kids, George Francis was as laughable as his robot was impressive.
I don't know whether I've just grown out of it or am being a reactionary or what, but I feel my robot wars is dead.
Jonathan Campbell
>Rebuffed by Xina x4 >x4
He must be autistic to not take the hint the first time.
Juan Jenkins
It's a pretty fair to say the show has lost it's edge, but for me it's just a minor niggle at the back of my mind. The first episode fufilled my fix for robot on robot cranage and I think we're just going to have to accept it and move on...at least it's better than strictly
Cooper Cooper
I think most of it was done for ratings, though. Big shiny smooth everything is what people want now. 480p, wonky camera and improperly lit areas don't cut it anymore.

youtube.com/watch?v=tH2w6Oxx0kQ how do we go on britpol? I'm the last one left. Soon I need to go back to africa and homestead, or maybe here in the US, but now it's only me.
Eli Rivera
>It's hypocritical to say 'in the bible it's just kind of history and allegory but those muslims really mean it!' No it isn't. God tells his nation to wage war on a region and then establish their nation there. Then they defend it on and off for hundreds of years, all the while setting the scene for Isaiah's and Daniel's prophecies and then the coming of Jesus Christ, who gives instructions for how to be a perfect human being.
In the Quran, the instruction comes from Allah through Muhammad and is to be followed perpetually until the world is under Islamic rule.
That's why it's not hypocritical.
>Virtually no Christian denominations hold the bible to be wholly infallible or without error or fault. Even then ones that do are peaceful and productive members of society and charitable people. None of them use the OT as an excuse to wage war, and that's precisely because they consider the Bible infalliable: they understand it far better than your average person. They're the ones reading it every day.
Ian Barnes

I was meming, but Razer is representative of Hitler, with the robot he pitted being the Jews.
Has any reboot ever been good?
Caleb Mitchell
>find out there's a new robot wars series >make note to watch it >find out dara obriain is presenting it >remove note
Well it's almost been 20 years...times have changed.
As as much as I hate seeing the show buckle under the weight of the modern era I'm glad to see it struggle onward, it may be a nostalgia cash in but I still love the format and the chaos of it all...and we've got 9 more episodes to go so I'm still hopeful.
And let's be honest it's still a cut above the "refbot" bullshit it devolved into in the mid 2000's
Aiden Howard
Battlestar? idk
Noah Bailey
but user, don't you want a giant Irish baby to talk to you about de tings and how dey did dat oder ting?
Caleb Garcia
Mate you're missing my point. I'm saying that anyone who *really* believes in Abrahamic dogma would be perfectly justified in bombing, shooting, poisoning etc anyone who doesn't believe. I mean that's not even up for debate right, if you dig down enough you can find a justification for terrorism in any of these three main sects. My point is that the extent to which beleivers in this stuff are willing to actually go hardcore on it and kill people is nothing to do with the dogma, it's a product of worldly political circumstances. You're giving me 'no dude my version is nice and justified' and I'm saying it all depends
Thomas Nelson
You realise Allah is the same god the Christians and Jews worship? They just believe Mohammad was the latest prophet with the latest instructions. As far as they're concerned, all this killing is in the name of the same god.
Wyatt Torres
accepting of course that as it's written down islam is more violent than the others
Matthew Fisher
naw it's explicitly a manual for everything
>For a Muslim believer, the Qu’ran is the eternal word of God that exists in heaven in the Arabic language. In this form it is the holiest document that they have, it cannot be translated and must remain in Arabic. When the Qu’ran is translated into another language, say English, it must be called “the meaning of the Qur’an.

I miss Refbot so much, I miss how scripted it was. Dead metal woild come attack a robot out of the CPZ and he'd get a yellow card, there was that backstage thing where somebody (diotoir team) randomly took a heap of wires that clearly didn't belong anywhere in the other robot (firestorm maybe), all the little shit talking segments, it was all so wonderful.
It sounds wrong to say but it's become too much about the robotics. They even removed "style" from the style, control, damage and aggression because it didn't make sense. That, for me, was the epitome of new robot wars. Removing the camaraderie and making it more proper. It looks downright American now.
Christopher Clark
Me and a few freinds used to read the bible for lulz back in sixth form, but what the fuck is the deal with Molech anyway?
"'Do not give any of your children to be sacrificed to Molek, for you must not profane the name of your God. I am the LORD"
Andrew Garcia
Does Brit politics have retarded hit pieces like this? Are these even allowed?
It's all the same god. Christian's interpretation is that the OT god chilled out a bit and sent Jesus to set them all straight. Muslim's interpretation is he became even more bloodthirsty and sent Mohammad to set them straight. Jews believe he's still OT god and hasn't sent a new prophet yet. It really all depends on who you believe is accurately telling the story.
You have three interpretations of the will of the same god, and endless sub-schools of thought within those three.
Luke Johnson
so mudslime is a 4th interpretation which essentially equates to "fuck everyone?"
Zachary Morales
I don't know much about it desu it's some twisted shit though, do you know what moloch is supposed to do or what he does in the world?
Bentley Kelly
pretty much verboten

I feel like I'm in some nightmare Quantum Leap scenario where people literally can't hear what I'm saying
>the bible is just as bad if taken literally >either way it doesn't matter because it's all just a justification for social military and economic goals dependent on temporary circumstances
