I can't be alone to think this. Yes, Goose isn't good, but the tone, the atmosphere, the tense presentation leave me wanting THIS, not fast cut action shit with a star wars plot.

I'm worried about the movie as a whole. It's clear they've got the visuals down, but the original was like kinda like a Noir movie in the future. 2049 looks like just a straight up cyberpunk action movie.

This seems like a fundamentally different type of movie than the first. Albeit this is from the trailer alone, it seems like it takes the themes of the first one and uses them superficially to make an action movie.
