All I've basically learned is that if the government wants to know everything about you they can unless you take security to an absolutely autistic degree. If you're using windows right now you're not being autistic enough. Read up on the stuxnet exploit.

You basically want to use Tor or a VPN to make yourself a more inconvenient person to target. Both are compromised by the government regularly.

What you should keep track of are cookies and the digital fingerprints you leave behind while visiting every website.

Still somewhat pointless though since there are more ways to track your browsing habits.

If you're serious though OP tails 2 is probably the simplest no-brainer way to make it harder to compromise your security. Mind you there are still plenty of ways to break your anonymity even using tails. I know enough that I'm basically paranoid all the time now.

However it gets really dumb to use this browser for non deepweb website because you have to solve captcha like anytime.

Use a VM that spins up a new machine and gets deleted when it is shut down. TOR over VPN from within the VM.
