Which is the most conservative part of your country, and which is the least conservative?
In my country, northern Argentina and particularly the Northwest is probably the most conservative, at least culturally. They are like stuck in the 19th century, they are highly Catholic, they like to dress like gauchos, pray to all the Virgins and Saints that exist, there is a lot of 'machismo'... Unfortunately they also love to vote Peronism, but it's a different kind of Peronism, they have 'Caudillos', I mean, very powerful governors who act as feudal lords.... It's really hundred of years behind the rest of the country.
Meanwhile Buenos Aires is the most 'progressive' area, and unfortunately it's the most Westernized too. They have lost most of their culture, there is a lot of SJW and crap.
So what about your own country?
Ayden Thompson
The south.
NorthEast is filled with shitskins even if they're quite racist
Jackson Murphy
The north of Spain is the most conservative part while the south is the most progressive and in the same time Southeners are the most religious, They are probably the most catholic part of in whole South Europe (79% of population is catholic).
Easton Torres
Big cities are filled with third-world filth West France is "progressive" because very few immigrants South East is traditionally conservative and bound to their traditions despite the increasing presence of Maghreb people The North is also voting right but mostly for economical reasons, although the identity issue is still prominent due, there again, to the amount of immigrants
Isaiah Morales
socially the most conservative part is western jutland and the most liberal part is copenhagen inner city. economically the most conservative part is north of copenhagen and the most liberal is probably lolland
Landon Ortiz
>NorthEast is filled with shitskins ...just like Southern Italy, then
Oliver Brooks
>Which is the most conservative part of your country
Midwest and Northeast
Southeast and South are the most progressive.
Benjamin Rodriguez
Of course; we have our ethnic shitskins down Rome and we're importing tons of foreigner maghrebi. How ironic.
Mason Gomez
>maghrebis Oh, lads...
Jace Brown
That's very difficult to answer
Southern Ontario and BC are the most SJW Québec is the most immigrant friendly The Praries vote Conservative most consistently Maritimers and Newfies always vote liberal, but do so for the gibs and are generally very backwards and engage in a traditionally conservative lifestyle
Ayden Roberts
Yeah, pretty ridiculous tbhwy, I've lived in Málaga for three years and people especially in villages is conservative as fuck but keep voting the PSOE, can't wrap my head around it
Alexander Jenkins
>Québec is the most immigrant friendly dafug
Ryan Nelson
How are they more progressive but at the same time more religious? Doesn't make sense.
Adrian Watson
It happens here too Some regions have very strong identity remains like Brittany or Basque country Yet they vote to the left because they don't have many immigrants for now and it makes them feel good in their head
There is no solidarity throughout the country
Jaxson Ramirez
Andalusians are weird in religion. They have a huge huge cult for saints, yet chuches are empty. When You talk about religion southeners think about the typical virgins and saints more than in a typical chuch with the monks.
Yeah I know them, I am actually from Málaga. Hearing people that they want to kill all the muslims and voting to the socialist party at the same time, quite ironic.
James Gonzalez
Very much so A poll found that 66% of Anglo Canadians believed illegals should be immediately deported. However, in Québec it was the opposite of the rest of the country and 70% said reasonable accommodations should be made for illegals. Québec is also the only province that allows someone on welfare to sponsor an immigrant family member, the rest of the provinces require that a sponsor have a decent job
Josiah Johnson
Always thought they were more conservative because of muh polls.
Evan Sanders
This is exactly how Newfoundland and the Maritimes work. Very strong and old culture, all white (almost entirely French, Irish, and Anglo), and they always vote liberal
Nicholas Allen
Here people in the poorest and most conservative areas of the country vote Peronism, which isn't exactly the left, but it's very populist. I guess they only do that for the welfare or because most people work in the public sector. But still, Peronism, specially this kind of peronism, is quite conservative in some aspects, specially social issues such as abortion, marriage, religion, etc, while being leftist in economic issues.
Angel Sullivan
Northerner here. Most northern spain is commieland except galicia
t.asturian
Samuel Miller
My cousin hates immigrants in general and voted Podemos.
Joshua Nguyen
Sad!
So it's somewhat like national-socialism? Sounds cool.
Samuel Gonzalez
It's quite hard to say which is the most conservative (some would say Lower Carniola but that's only really because the main opposition party has a lot of "faithful" there) but the least conservative is certainly Ljubljana.
Liam Morris
There hasn't been a premier from the Conservative party in Québec (now le Parti conservateur duQuébec) since 1896. It's been the liberals or Parti Québecois, a centre left party tgat really only cares about Québec independence and protection of the French language.
Don't let the Muslim face veil confuse you, that's not about Conservatism, it's because they tie their culture, identity, asnd language to the Catholic church, all will claim to be devout but I have never met a single one who actually was.
Gabriel Martin
It was Fascism in its beginning. Perón was an admirer of Mussolini. But today there are many types of Peronism, for example the Kirchners were Peronists but quite leftists. During the 70s there was a right wing Peronist militia(Alianza Anticomunista Argentina) that killed left wing Peronists, called Montoneros. So Peronism is quite complex.
