It's also consoles. But I agree they don't seem to be pushing the engine as far as they could and if the series wants to include battles they need to come up with something new as their previous engines have not been suited for them in the least
It's not really the series' gimmick, but it wouldn't be a bad way to go; developing a engine that can handle large cities and hundreds of AIs fighting or just doing whatever. The whole advancing AI direction is a way I'd like to see them go
