Dinner Table Discussions

> Both me and my wife are right winged
> Visit my parents for the weekend
> Talked about politics before, but not about Trump and Hillary

> Both parents are far left, pro Hillary
> Have 'the talk' (about politics)

> Their main argument is always about Gay Marriage, how Trump was 'always against gay marriage'

> 'Where did you get this? Where did you read he was against gay marraige?'
> 'I can't remember. But he is!'

> They probably only read the newspapers
> Hence why they're delusional and ignorant
> Ignorant a word used by liberals
> I'm using it against liberals

> Show them a video in which Hillary openly says 'no' to gay marriage and 'yes' to Iraq war.

> find no video of Trump saying no to game marriage

They were so upset we went home 2 days early. What were your discussions like, Sup Forums? Are your parents left, or right? And how did you redpill them?

Why are your parents so concerned about gay marriage? Are they bisexual transgenders?

Because they're steered by emotions and nothing else.

Dad is a commie, but redpilled as fuck on race issues and Islam. Voted leave in the referendum, and has been throwing his support behind UKIP lately because "I don't want them to privatise the NHS, but there won't be an NHS to save if we don't get our borders under control."
Mum is a generic "muh feels" liberal who has to leave the room whenever we start talking about how Islam should be stamped out for the greater good.

I'm actually sadened by the fact that liberals get to vote.

Voting takes at least some kind of thinking.

mother was always redpilled and is the reason i am today , my father on the other hand is a socialist that tends heavily to the left

I've moved away from that line of thinking lately. The EU referendum really showed me the flipside of the "only people I agree with should have a vote" when that rhetoric was coming from the "enlightened" left. I'm not infallible, I can't be a perfect judge of who can vote and who can't, and neither can anyone else. The best we can realistically do is give everyone a voice and hope that the idiots will cancel each other out while the smart people tip the scales.

who the fuck cares about fags cornholing each other?

seriously how much further down the list of things to not even want to know about do you have to go?

That would be the best.

I don't know man, I think marriage should be treated as a public service rather than a right.Society needs children, and legal recognition of unions should be an incentive towards that. Have kids? Good, get married. Gay or infertile and can't have kids? Adopt an orphan or two and get married. Won't have kids or adopt? Fuck off, you're not helping society by getting married, we're not giving you marriage benefits.

I agree. 'Marriage' shouldn't even be a basic human right. Marriage is a privelege given to you.

Does marriage even matter any more?

Here in the SE, dinner is lunch and supper is dinner.

Neat

Where did you find a right wing woman?

Russian heritage.

Church.

>tfw no beautiful russian right winged woman in my life

>tfw you will never be sold out by a Ruskie saboteur who stole your heart and national secrets

>unironically making your decision based on gay marriage stance when the SCOTUS ruled in favour of it and the president has literally 0 say in this matter anymore
I fucking hate democracy

You'll find one some day.

Her russian heritage goes way back. Her mother is a Catholic against gay marriage. So yeah she's pretty red pilled on everything. But she also just agrees with me on everything.

>national secrets
>Austria

About my heart - not much left to steal there in my chest. A hatefilled, shattered stone at best.

Thx Dutchbro. Hope dies last, r..right? Right?

No your subjective view dies last. Hope is subjective and momentarily. One can chose to have hope.

fact is every one falls in love at some time.

> main argument is always about Gay Marriage
this is how stupid liberals are. gay marriage is over as an issue the supreme court ruled, they won and yet they still act like they are being persecuted.

Instead of stopping right after they answer "can't remember, but he is", i push the questions.
If you're sure, there are proofs, find them. A doubt is not acceptable. Find it. Prove it. Explain the reasoning.
At some point, everyone understands that the logic is flawed, incomplete.

Why is gay marriage good? Is it needed?

People know shit and are allowed to vote.
I usually end the conversation with "if you know nothing and have no decent opinion, the best thing you should do for your country is to avoid voting"

>national secrets
>Austria
no one? :(
oh come on man, u have restful life, calm...like death

I told her, that if she continues to be ignorant on the subject, she shoudn't discuss it at any given moment.

I had a discussion about politics, with some one that refuses to vote. How fucking stupid.

It's hilarious really.

> White transgender: 'I'm opressed!'
> Middle East woman: 'I have to ask my husband'.

But no one really takes a gander at these people's rights

You were aggressive towards her, and she switched to defense mode.
Once you learn how to avoid triggering people, you can show your path to people.

If you always pay attention to people's attention, they'll walk all over you.

To people's feelings*

Good job on destroying your relationship with your parents and alienating them from your wife, all so you could make a massively spergy point. Your parents sound like they're caring people who want a better world. You sound like an autistic ungrateful fucktard.

Was it the heavy metals in the water or did you instead dive head first into an empty swimming pool?

3/10

3 points for bumping my thread

Anytime, user.
Now learn to be a respectful, dutiful son who doesn't just destroy important relationships. You are literally the cause of the decline of the family in the west and your children will all be unmarried or polygamous and refuse to take care of you in a aged-care home.

> In the West

But I don't live in the west.

Sorry -- I forgot. You live inside your own asshole, Aka the Netherlands (aptly named).

Sorry, but I disagree. I have found that it is easier to spread my points of view if I don't really tell anyone to think a certain way. Everyone needs to reach their own conclusions. So I myself only try to disprove the points that my opponent gives and present as many arguments as possible for my own viewpoint. Then I'll leave them to form their own opinions. Maybe I'm approaching this too softly, but I find that it's worse if your opponent becomes defensive.

Keep trying. You're almost there.

Same as Just look at how advertising works.
They ask questions and give some hints.
Have you ever felt threatened? Angry?

That's how you accept what they sell you. You have to be comfortable to be open minded, then their questions and hints do the rest,

"i hate racists"
"are they really bad? Can't racism be justified?"
"they are dumb shits"
"can you explain why you believe that? And show me some examples?"

My mom is pro Trump. All I really had to do was tell her about what Hillary did with Benghazi and now she hates that cunt.

What did Shillary do with Benghazi?
