It picks up after issue 30!

>It picks up after issue 30!

>I'm buying it for the art

>When you read it collected the pacing problems disappear

>Youn don't need to read the tie-ins to enjoy the story

isn't that a good thing?
being forced to read extra to fully enjoy a book seems kinda shitty...

>reading single issues

>its a slow burn but the payoff is worth it

It's usually a lie.

>it's a Bendis book.

>It gets good after the first season!

>rushed end to the arc to make way for the event tie-in

>it's good if you ignore the ending.

>>rushed end to the arc to make way for the event tie-in
Bendis?

It happens quite a bit. Some writers have long story arcs and then they have to wrap it up in time for the event.

I know the Slott got screwed over by Civil War during his She-Hulk run. And JMS specifically told Marvel not to fuck with his Thor ongoing and they went and did Siege.

>just ignore its flaws

He did manage to get a substantial amount of time, which was unusual, but the way that Siege was done almost seemed like an editorial version of vengeance.
>Okay, you can have your little piece of the playground all to yourself
>But the moment your time is up, that plot is shot.

>it makes perfect sense to me, you're just stupid

First it was Morrisonfags during Final Crisis, then it was the the Hickmanfags during Time Runs Out. You couldn't criticize anything to them.

Time Runs Out was pretty straight forward

>First it was Morrisonfags during Final Crisis
I'm a morrisonfag and I still have problems understanding Final Crisis.

>It's gets good in the third season, we swear!

Final Crisis is not at all hard to follow.

It was pointless and took twice as many comics to tell a story any other writer could've told.

And it was all for doomwankery.

I'M GETTING FLASHBACKS TO THOSE THREADS

STOP IT user

GET OUT OF MY HEAD

>The first two seasons are great, but seasons 3-16 are shit. It's worth slogging through them all for the great final season though.

This is almost as retarded as
>the game gets good 30 hours in!
Nigger I work all day and have shit to do all weekend, fuck off

>It gets good after x amount of episodes just skip them

But it's true. You might be retarded if Final Crisis confused you.

...

>it gets better after the the third playthrough

NO

>It's a Marlel book.

Ain't nothing wrong with a slow burn every now and then.

I hate those pesky marlel books!

10/10

It's like I'm there again.

Not just Bendis but most events and shit

Grayson just got rushed so they could relaunch it after the Rebirth one shot

You should have listened back then.

>Ain't nothing wrong with a slow burn every now and then.

>I didn't read Superman Beyond, Submit, Morrison's Batman or 52 but im still entitled to an opinion on Final Crisis
While it's not your fault DC made ot difficult to get all of ut, claiming the comic is inherently bad is pleb shit

>it's only 120 episodes
>only

>The "Minority character" is doing better than the old "white character"

It's weird but I hate it when people say 'Wait until x issue' but I have no problem with the 'The first season is the weak season' excuse.

It's your own fault for watching anime, user. You should have outgrown that shit in middle school.

racist piece of shit

>You need to read the tie-ins for it to be good

>make superman beyond required reading
>never mention it
>darkseid defeated
>MANDRAKK OUT OF NOWHERE

I seriously hope those two issues are in the Final Crisis book.

Besides, even Morrison admitted he fucked up.

That's not what be said. Work on yor'e reading comprehension.

This is what's keeping me out of comics, to be honest. Every event seems to have a dozen or more different stories attached to it that I need to read to get the entire story. I guess a self-contained story is too much to ask from capeshit, gotta push those other garbage runs that are selling like shit!

>I want solo book of gay character
>I didn't want solo book of said character while he was straight

>This is what's keeping me out of comics, to be honest.
>Sup Forums

It's like I'm in a Hickman storytime thread.

I should have clarified: It's what's keeping me out of capeshit.

Also, Sup Forums is comics and cartoons.

Sup Forums - Just comics

It kinda is tho. Saying >you're not entitled to am opinion on it if you haven't read those
To somebody who disliked or didn't get FC basically says he would like it if he had read them.

Indiean pls

>when it really does pick up after a couple of issues
>when it does get GOAT after the first season

>when it gets cancelled in 6 issues
>when it doesn't get renewed after the second season

>Walking Dead

Ive never heard that

>got cancelled because the toys weren't selling enough

Oldfag here.

When this came out massive hype & tepid reaction DC told me on the phone "It gets better by the 7th issue."

Fuck you

NIER is a masterpiece

They are and so is submit

No, they'll tell you it's shit, go buy X-Men.

>It's cute and fun

>still forcing this meme

>It's only good because of that thing that makes it good. If you took out the thing that made it good, it would no longer be good and therefore it's bad.

>it's only good for the waifu

Now I'm not saying I watch shit for that reason but...

>When you can practically taste the writer being told to wrap it up with every page
I don't know if there's anything that disgusts me more than watching the annual group fanfic steamroll everything happening just so a lot of bloated nothing can happen.

It's like going to a buffet and enjoying the various dishes each chef made, then some asshole storms in, throws all of it into a blender, serves it as soup, walks out and you're still expected to pay because he owns the place.

Well, thinking that a story should have more than one good element is kinda legit, especially since
>it's only good because
Even implies that people saying this actually like it.

>>I want solo book of gay character
>But I'm not gonna buy it even thought it's what I wanted.

>I want solo book of gay character
>I don't like comics

I really wonder how would Iceman: Gay Edition's sales compare to Midnighter. I doubt he's that popular among X-fags.
Or
>I don't read comics
Those fuckers deserve public impaling.

>I want solo book of a gay character
>I won't buy it or support it outside of talking about it on the internet and then cry when it gets canceled

Christ, this pisses me off. You get these armchair activists and keyboard warriors whining up a storm about how something isn't inclusive enough, that it doesn't represent this group or that group, and then the milquetoast doormat writers cave in to pressure and include it, and then the motherfuckers don't buy or support it at all.

It really pisses me off, like especially if I wanted the same thing or if its a character I like/a genuinely good book. It's the worst.

Or then you get the opposite where they actually DO buy it and it's just terrible (example: Gillen's Young Avengers was fucking terrible, but people actually bought it and it was relatively well-received)

>that picture
Is this real?
That's not real.
Right?

>>the game gets good 30 hours in!
This, now this shit right here. Fuck that shit. If a game isn't fun to me in at least the first 20 minutes in, I drop that shit. I make some exceptions here and there but overall, fuck this trend that a game needs to be a slow burner for the first 2-3 hours.

Impaling by its very nature is public, don't you think?

I've privately impaled a few people myself.

How does one go about doing a private impaling?

>"_____ is dead and he's never coming back"

Yeah nigga relax Captain America/Spider-Man/Wolverine isn't gonna stay dead clown.

>Bendis
>rushing
Bendis is usually behind everybody by one event. When Infinity happened he was still doing AoU.

Bendis doesn't get rushed. Marvel lets him do whatever.

He's usually still doing event tie ins after the event is done. Right now, the Road to Civil War II in IIM is still going on while Civil War II is happening.

>When does it end?
>Issue 32

I love the series but that character was so retarded

Bendis?

Bendis.

>It gets a sales boost from being popular with Sup Forums fetishists but gets canceled 2 issues later.

Anyone remember Glory?

First seasons of comedies and/or non continuity-reliant shows are usually meh. Whenever someone tells me that I just skip the first season.

If a continuity-heavy show has a bad first season, it can go screw though.

The Brian Michael Bendis?

Woooooooo lawdy. That was deep kek, thanks user. Almost forgot.

>canceled
Glory ended because the writer and artist finished their story and wanted to work on other projects.

Sales were not the problem. Just look at Prophet. Four years later and Prophet is still going.

Yeah that's what he said, Bendis.

It's real and was deemed something SHIELD should be called in for.

>Claim X is good
>Only reason talk about it is for waifus and shipping

>not interested in characters
>"You should read their X story."
>read X
>didn't like X
>"You didn't look at enough. Also read Y an Z.."
>read Y and Z
>didn't like Y and Z
>"You just don't get the characters!"

I'll never understand how people still get so upset over character deaths. Is it just every single new fan throwing a fit every time?

That perfectly describes Star vs The Forces Of Evil

>following characters
>not writers

your loss

This applies more to writers than to characters.
