This one is supposed to symbolize french and english unity, by using union jack colors and angles in a new and exciting way. The blue used is also closer to the darker blue used in french flags using fleurs-de-lys, rather than the lighter blue of anglo flags.

I, for one, think it looks perfect for a villainous faction's flag from a sci-fi movie. It's really got that nazi-esque design focus on harsh lines and strong outlines.

And honorable mention: I fucking love how Canada's logo on military craft and government buildings and such is literally just "Canada" written in Times New Roman. The style and coloring of signage we use is just perfect, too.

Say what you want about canada or JUSTin or whatever, but the canadian government has always had fantastic graphic design skills. Simple, professional, but just colored enough to be visually interesting and draw the eye. Good font and kerning choices, too.

Go to Montreal. Almost every single immigrant speaks english along with their native language. It's the go-to destination for immigrants. They do not speak french. They use the federal government to protect them from laws made to protect french language and culture such as Bill 101.

It's a short summary of the history of Canada and Quebec from when New France was handed to Britain.

Explains how French-Canadians have been held down for a century through legislature, weren't allowed to do anything other than farm, were considered slave labor, sub-humans, etc. Yet somehow Anglo-Canadians pretend to not understand why there is a mild rivalry between the two cultures lingering on to this day.
