No, YOU move.

They've ruined a good thing.

Enjoy your Agents of Shit.

>all major networks canceling or moving capeshit

ITS OVER, ITS AND END OF AN ERA !

I wonder why? This sucks because Jarvis is the hidden treasure of the MCU. And despite the ham fisted feminism of the first season, I still enjoyed it. I like my vintage 50s sci-fi.

I'd like to see them do some kind of flashback arc and show how SSR became SHIELD. I want to see SHIELD at it's hayday before NO MORE SHIELD LOL JK ITS STILL HERE era.

>I wonder why?
Ratings. They sucked.

Peg dead MCU and gone from TV, we never see those perky tats again.

Yeah well I'm not surprised.

Perhaps they should try actually doing cape stuff instead of "CAPE HERO WITHOUT THE CAPE" like they keep trying to pull and maybe things would work better.

I like Agent Carter but it had very little to do with Marvel outside Stark, Steve references and others.

There are free porn out there you know

Here's another reason: she's got a new show at ABC

hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/abc-orders-conviction-893502

...

But I saw her say in an interview she has no problem doing two shows at once.

I liked this show.

>they name her character Carter

.....

there's no cure for terrible taste

Finally, this show was fucking awful. I watched the first 3 eps of season 1 and couldn't stand to watch another minute. The new shield spinoff sounds terrible as well

We'll always have the show on blu-ray.

CRACKS IN THE MARVEL EMPIRE FORM

WITH THIS AND INHUMANS GONE, THE END IS NEAR

They are going to have too many shows soon anyways, but still wish they got to wrap the story up.

what was wrong with it?

Nooo thats the only show with tits

Awful writing, plot that went nowhere, subpar acting beyond Atwell, and bad production value

All I want is for AoS to stop using HYDRA and the Inhumans. Also for them to have more than one type of superpower on the fucking team. God damn it. Where the hell are the magic users? the Gods?

>hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/agent-carter-canceled-at-abc-893499
F&B shit out another show until cancellation. You would think the people who killed Dollhouse during Season 2 wouldn't be allowed another show...

what was wrong with the writing?

>Peggy Carter dies in Civil War
>well, at least we'll see her again in her prequel show
>her prequel show is then cancelled
This has to be intentional on Marvel's part.

Season 1 was decent, but the pacing felt a little weird in the middle of the show. Season 2 was just fucking pandering and love triangle shit. The Winter Soldier writers created the show, left an outline how to do season 1, and that did ok. Giving the chicks actually running the show more power just became the same crap you see on TV all the time. Girl power! Muh decisions between two men! We're progressive here despite it being the late 40s and in Hollywood! The villain was also shit for season 2. Partly based on a real actress/scientist, but then they were to all the usual dull places with it.

buzzwords the post

Yeah, it's really not unheard of to see actors doing two shows at the same time, especially if they're in-house (under the same channel and/or production company).

Allison Janney starred in Mom and was a regular in Masters of Sex at the same time, for instance.

>mfw

But seriously, this second season went nowhere and they should've just showed the SHIELD founding years instead of yet another adventure. Jarvis and Peggy were great but the story was very weak.

Season 1 was pretty great though, I really enjoyed it as a companion piece to Cap 1.

Oh well, better to be cancelled than to meander around while it's quality drops down further and further. This way it had a good season and a nice victory lap. Maybe they can tie up the story in AoS in a couple of episodes.

She was briefly in MoS for that year she started Mom. They slowly moved her out of the show.

Also two lead roles is basically impossible to happen, if only for marketing/image reasons.

at least it was better than JJ

I guess this is the time Marvel realize that Netflix is the way to go because you get to do shit you can't see in movies and TV.

Expect Hayley Atwell boobs, those will be missed.

Here's your (you)

...

maybe they'll start introducing magic in AoS as a lead in to the dr strange movie

>le capeshit is dying meme
It's not going anywhere soon

Druid should come up like half a season after Dr. Strange to try and milk it.

They won't stay too far behind it.

Well shit.

Yet Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is left alone.

Damn. I loved Agent Carter. Sure it was cheesier and cheaper-looking than the Netflix shows, but the characters were a lot of fun together.

>Where the hell are the magic users?
I'd put money on Sebastian Druid joining the team as part of the Dr. Strange tie-in.

Except it wasn't though, unless you're judging the show's quality based on the size of the protag's tits.

>I guess this is the time Marvel realize that Netflix is the way to go because you get to do shit you can't see in movies and TV.
They've got 3 more shows coming down the pipeline. Two on ABC and one on freeform.

Because AoS is good. Because AoS gets higher DVR playback in key demos. Because AC is the one who killed the timeslot for AoS when it came back.

Gotham is currently 1.2 with no competition. Supergirl was doing the same in the end. Previously bother were 1.5 against each other. Before that, much higher ratings for each show when they started.

AoS was doing 1.4-1.7 an episode before AC Season 2. After, it bounces between .9 and 1.0 only. AoS is automatically renewed because of Season 4 syndication and DVR numbers. Agent Carter was doing .7 many weeks including the finale.

That's season two that's hamfisted. Season one was GOAT

If you're gonna watch trash either way, you might as well have some enjoyable eye-candy as you do

> I quit watching right before Howard is revealed to have been playing is revealed to have been playing Peggy whole time in order to obtain the vial of Captain America's blood

Your loss

RIP 40's Ward

This is not Jarvelous

...

Post cowtits

it was a terrible show with lazy writing

Not like that would have made the show better in my eyes, still awful writing and production value. Nothing remotely interesting or entertaining about the show beyond Atwell

both of them are good

You also missed Dr. Faustus, Black Widow Program, and the Howling Commandos. Bad production value is just factually incorrect though.

>dies in Civil War
>Agent Carter cancelled
Jesus, Peggy has been kicked out of the MCU so suddenly.

>Angie will never get to reveal her intense Peggy lust

>factually incorrect
everything looked cheap and stale, I've been on the lot they filmed season 1 at as well. The costumes were fine mostly though

Maybe Marvel can work out something to continue Peggy's story. There's a lot left to tell.

Season 1:
>pitched and partially written by the Russos and Markus/McFeely.
>meant as an emotional continuation to Cap 1
>movie-side budget and and experimental project for ILM to test if they could maintain a TV-budget VFX sub-studio
>money was enough to buy Jazz songs from the 50's (which are expensive as fuck, by the way, their contracts are a fucking goldmine)
>money left over at the end of the season (said so in one of their podcasts)

Season 2:
>fans/previous writers wrote it
>tries to do that bullshit thing where they make up a story instead of telling the one everyone wants to watch
>keeps far away enough from the movies so it doesn't contradict continuity and never touches SHIELD, Howling commandos, Sousa's connection to Cap mentioned in S1, etc
>severe budget cuts

Yeah, I guess it was meant to happen. Better this way than to end up on the same path as Arrow.

thank fucking god, do disney honestly think I have time to watch all this crap? I hope Agents of S.H.I.T is cancelled soon too probably not

This show was a solid 7.5/10, I was surprised they even got a second season, so I'm happy with what we got

The good thing about MCU is that Agent Tittymonster can still appear elsewhere

Punished "Venom" Jarvis

Hopefully they reveal what was supposed to happen in season 3

But not of this actress.
Unless there actually is.
In which case, I'm requesting for source.

>money left over at the end of the season (said so in one of their podcasts)

That probably screwed them over. You'll always lose budget if you don't spend all of it. The bean counters will see it as a sign you didn't really need it.

Aww man. They left so many loose plot threads.
If there's a silver lining it'll hopefully be that Feige looks at this & Most Wanted, realizes spy shit doesn't sell and nip that fucking Black Widow movie nonsense in the bud.

Any chance they can get the writers to do a guest episode of AoS where they tie shit up?

Fuck you, I need more of Black Widow and her glorious haircut

Hopefully. Back in the first half of Season 2 AoS they had a bunch of flashbacks with Carter, they could probably frame them around Coulson honoring her memory or something.

>New superhero show on NBC
>CW now has a great comics lineup
>ABC will continue SHIELD
You are dumb, dude.

>CW now has a great comics lineup
Kek. Seriously.
It is sizeable, so your point stands, but only 1 out of 4 shows is even good.

>CW
>great comics lineup

One great show where the quality has dipped somewhat since the first season is not a "great comics lineup"

I miss her. She shoulda have a bigger part in the series.

Except it's a fucking Amazon.COM exclusive along with Agents of SHIELD season 2, barebones release with barely any extras

Bullshit

Well at least they didn't screw her over. I like Haley and I don't think she's super hot or anything, she just seems nice and fun. At least she's not out of a job.

I'm thinking they could/should do a time travel episode. Time travel is one of the very "cape" elements that the MCU hasn't touched yet.

They are waiting on the time stone to do it, and then never touch it again.

Time travel is a bitch to mess with in a continuity without generating alternating timelines and non-canon stuff.

I wouldn't do one of those.

>She's gone. In her sleep.

Season 1 showed promise but Season 2 was awful, writers really dropped the ball on that one.

They should get the Netflix people to do a Seadon 3 later on and have Peggy form SHIELF and do some actual agent stuff, go around the world with the Commandos, meet heroes like Union Jack, Spitfire, Blazing Skull, Toro the Inhuman Torch, etc... then the season after that have it take place in the 60's, then 70's, 80's, so on until her death.

You not only flesh out Peggy's life but you also give those other eras of the MCU some history and some possibilities for spin offs.

She had two pretty big parts in it.

But where am I supposed to get my James D'arcy fix!?!

>they should've just showed the SHIELD founding years instead of yet another adventure.

Yeah I thought the same thing. If the time period Agent Carter was set it was a little bit closer to the SHIELD finding years, this probably wouldn't have happened.

>that bullshit love triangle/square thing in S2

Let it rest. At least it can be said that Marvel knows when to stop.

>Because AoS is good.
LOVING.

EVERY.

LAUGH.

Also TV networks don't measure DVR playbacks for their ratings, you nitwit.

Relying on Ant-Man flashbacks now for silver fox milf Peggy.

I loved that. I loved that they fit her into Ant-Man and Ultron when they didn't really need to.

I sort liked her inclusion in Cap 2 and 3, but those were sad.

sort of liked*

Also, the whole will they/wont they is so 90's. It is pointless to dedicate a whole season to a relationship drama. Cap 1 had a good romance storyline that even took the highlight of the third act, but the movie was never about it, it was about how much Cap affected the ones around him. Not just romantically, but morally.

S1 had this great thing where Peggy ended up changing everyone she cared about for the better at the end of the season, much like cap did in his movie, but S2 had none of that and it was just a love triangle. Might as well have had her and Sousa hook up in the break and explore their relationship throughout the season.

Even SHIELD as been consistently better than Flash this season because it doesn't dabble in romantic triangles and relationship drama.

People know who ends up with who, stop teasing and breaking up and coming back. We want the rest of the story that we can't get anywhere else.

Ant-Man and Civil War handled this brilliantly in my opinion. Things happen, it's cool, it's part of life, it's not relevant to the movie. So they aren't shown until it's relevant for whatever it is it affects. I like the whole 'private to the characters' approach these two had. I hope that by Ant-Man and the Wasp both main characters are already an established couple with the roles reversed from classic Ant-Man and Wasp where the guy is the cheerful one.

Meandering with it on the foreground while more interesting things get the shaft is pointless in these things.

Shut up, Nielsen.

And Wright wanted her and Falcon out of the movie. At first I thought they would be shoe-horning Darcy or something, but Cap's immediate cast is the best. Why would he not want to add them? Based Peyton was the hero we needed all along.

All the ABC stuff is trash

>Why would he not want to add them?
Because of MUH ARTISTIC VISION

Vision is also cool. I wouldn't have minded him.

But seriously, I get that he signed his contract way before there was a cinematic Universe, but if you take 8 years to do it, fuck off and let somebody else do it.

This way we got the cornetto trilogy AND a decent Ant-Man movie. It was win-win.

Watch that weird and tone-deaf video about why child slavery is wrong again?

youtube.com/watch?v=fIWKMgJs_Gs&feature=youtu.be&t=6m09s
Plinkett sums up Wright's problem pretty well.

>>that video
yup, that's a something alrighty.

D'arcy's still hot though

It depends how it's done. I'm thinking Fitz get's stuck in the past for one episode, has to get Howard and Peggy's help to get home, maybe he discovers some secret thing about SHIELD. Or he uses the Winter Soldier's cyro-chamber thing to freeze himself and then be unlocked in the present. That was basically SHIELD with that technology anyways.

So it could be contained in the episode and not really change the timeline or anything.

I know exactly what you mean, time travel is like seasoning though, it can make something really interesting in the right amount but too much of kills the dish.

>People know who ends up with who, stop teasing and breaking up and coming back.

I'm just going to say it.... it's women. Women are the ones who are more interested in that or they think, so they write in for them. I know a lot of girls who liked this show. But it's a short term gamble because the main audience is still the male/comic-loving side that get turned off by too much relationship drama and not enough everything else.

>And Wright wanted her and Falcon out of the movie.

I'm so glad they canned him. The fucker is the worst director-producer-whatever in Hollywood. Him and Shane Hack I mean Black fucked the MCU up pretty badly. I mean it's getting by (haven't seen Cap3) but it could of been better/smoother without their (and AoU directors) fuck ups.

D-Does this mean Hayley Atwell is going to lose her delicious midcentury thickness? FUCK.

>the Gods?
Well, Sif's on another network, and Peter MacNicol for some reason has only been in two episodes.

>cancelled

what got cancelled other than Agents Carter?
