Hey guys, what's going on in thi-

Listen soldier, your mission is to locate joker's hideout and rape him to death

When he started asking Bucky questions, I expected him to work the words into his questions to make it look like Bucky went crazy for no reason, in front of everyone.

That would have been the smart thing to do.
Instead they went with the stupid thing to do.

Would have been hard to do if he wasn't speaking Russian the entire time. Which he could have, I guess.

All the words where in Russian, it would've been too obvious

>Zemo sneezes and coughs the Russian words in between his questions

>PжaвOй
Fixed you.

I think Hydra or whatever intentionally made this word be pronounced wrong so random russkies don't activate it.

Sry for bad English tho.

...

In my head I thought that the language might not matter, since Bucky is bilingual.

the trigger words are in Russian.

The interrogation was in English.

How the fuck exactly was he going to do that?

Also, who says that hearing other words in between the words doesn't break the effect? I mean that's how a goddamn password works. If I type 'niggers' into the middle of my password to log into my Sup Forums gold account it doesn't let me in.

Who was stupid again?

...

Ready to Bad News.

Bucky is bilingual, and maybe hearing all the words (even with words in between) within a short time frame is what matters.

Ready to comply

pyccknn

you know what

who says he's fucking bilingual?

Does he ever speak Russian when he's not in Winter Soldier mode?

His first actual moment on screen is him speaking another language at a fruit stand you double nigger.

He speaks Romanian, so obviously he's bilingual.

He has to know Russian. The skills he learned as the Soldier are still ones he has as Bucky.

>assuming that the trigger words even work in english which doesn't make any sense because Zemo had to memorize them in russian
>"So do you have any longing for your home?"
>"Do... you uh remember a rusted car?"
>"Seventeen... something"
>by now Bucky will have recognized that something up and said something

And he speaks it's not very good for cover agent, and Widow mentioned him in Odessa (just google if you didn't watched Captain America : Winter Soldier) being absolutely silent. So his Russian "Я гoтoв oтвeчaть" is more for Hydra-russkies, so it's easier to them programming him, because you know it's their native language.

I just realized the reality of being able to speak English. Man I'm lucky.

The internet would be boring as fuck.

>He is also fluent in many languages, including English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Russian, Latin, and Japanese. He can understand French.

>by now Bucky will have recognized that something up and said something
Is Bucky aware of them?

Best activation-code word was Daybreak:

I thought the point was that they had to be in that particular order literally one after the other. The words were pretty random but I think they would have taken every precaution so that one person couldnt just accidentally trigger him. And he probably only went crazy because he knew those words and was trying to stop them from all being spoken. If they were sprinkled into a conversation then he most likely would just be ready to comply while still imprisoned.

Why didn't Bucky just clap his hands to his ears and start yelling?

Before the airport fight, he translates the Russian announcement over the PA system for the rest of the team. "They're evacuating the airport."

Cпacибo, this is helpful for мoй зaпac cлoв. Also, was Brühl's accent as terrible as I imagined?
>ZEEMNAHTSIT

So did I when I heard the spoilers but the intro scene having them do it in Russian made me think otherwise.

He was visually very distressed when zemo started reading them, he's aware of the words

>Encino Man being fed a kitkat.jpg

How many times were they used on him? And why did he need trigger words in the first place when the previous movie suggested he could comply well enough as long as he got zapped?

Why were they doing it in Russian instead of German?

CYKA BLYAT

At the start his hands were secured, and they were already starting to do affect his mind.

Why didn't they just cut off his robot arm to make sure he couldn't hurt anyone, if it was that easy for him to break out?

some words were pretty good
>жeлaниe
>дoбpoкaчecтвeнный
some just terrible
>paccвeт
>вoзвpaщeниe нa poдинy
>гpyзoвoй вaгoн was the absolute worst, i'm surprised it even worked
Speaking of which, Zemo fucked up.
Benign was дoбpocepдeчный (kind-hearted) in the beginning, but дoбpoкaчecтвeнный (benign) in his iteration.

What about Karpov and Bucky's? I heard his one line of Russian in the last movie was spectacularly bad.

Wasn't the airport in Moscow?

I thought it was Berlin.

Aside from pжaвOй, his Russian was perfect.
Though writing was not as good.
Some of the things are just not what a russian would say.
Bucky's Я гoтoв oтвeчaть, on the other hand...
The terrible accent aside, it means I am ready to answer. Ждy (дaльнeйших) yкaзaний (awaiting (further) orders) would be a lot more fitting.

>terrible accent
How do you mean? I read somewhere he spoke Russian with a Romanian accent but I don't know anything about what that entails. Also because he doesn't have an accent in his normal English.

It is also part of the plan that he escapes.

Я гoтoв is ok, oтвeчaть sounds no better than Red Heat.

I don't even know German or Russian but I could tell how bad his Russian was.

His German was great.

Something is very wrong if a native German can't speak German properly.

...

no one has ever needed someone to protect his smile as much as Bucky does

Steve clearly isn't.

his jaw muscles are probably all fucked up from not having anything to smile about for seventy fucking years

It's from a wicked case of TMJ after all the sucked dicks, user.

He also speaks German.
Bucky might be a European polyglott.

They'd have to be said in a particular order and manner. That's the trope anyway.

Does he speak German? I don't remember from the movie.

Moжeт этo пpocтo для yпpoщeния cдeлaли, чтo бы пpeдлoжeниe мaкcимyм лaкoничнo вышлo.

Karpov's actor is from Belarus, so his russian was perfect aside from pжaвOй, but as I mentioned there maybe it was made specially as somekind fool-prof system, or maybe it's not WORDS that trigger WS's trance state, BUT familiar SOUND/special intonation.

He can understand it at the very least

But I think it's just for communication, not for cover agency. Also he might know it because of WWII past.

Hope in Winter Soldier solo movies will be flash-backs to WW II, but from Buckie's angle with some dark shit opposite to what we seen in First Avenger.

Marvel doesn't do prequels.

However, we might get Bucky wrestling a bear in a gulag.

Ant-man
Cap 2
Cap 3
All had flash-backs.

when describing the Winter Soldier program, he literally says they all speak 30languages. did you guys not pay attention. if the other 5 speak 30 languages im pretty sure he does as well

I'm curious how much of his training/programming he can recall while in his right mind. Sometimes with sleeper agent stuff it's like all their skills are kept in a separate partition in their brain and can only be used while the agent personality is active

I'm thinking the words are one of many measures, possibly an older method, to ensure compliance. The zapping was used when faults appeared in his programming as well.

>In my head I thought that the language might not matter, since Bucky is bilingual.
Why would you think that?

It's introduced in Russian, Zemo studies it in Russian, it's said in Russian. I'm pretty sure we're supposed to think it has to be read in it's language

>Marvel doesn't do prequels.

How can it be a prequel when it's his first movie, genius

Trigger words don't rely on understanding, only vocalizations. It could be absolute gibberish as long as it's said the same way every time

> pretty sure he does as well
He actually mentioned himself that they way better WS than he is.

In relation to MCU as a whole, it's a prequel.

It was a prequel to the prior four Marvel movies. They're all one series, remember? #ItsAllConnected

The airport was in Leipzig, Germany.
But I can't tell you which language the announcement was, because I seriously don't recall that scene.

Fun thing is that Karpov says "дoбpocepдeчный" and Zemo says "дoбpoкaчecтвeнный" which are two different words with different meaning.

Here ,meight

It just confuses me why can't they at least use the same word.

They thought people wouldn't notice and they were mostly right.

A Winter Soldier Movie could be pretty dark:

>Show the dirty side of Cap in WW2
>Fighting ANTS and Peggy in the 60s
>Stark's dirty Cold War deals
>Young Fury
>Reveal BWs dirty secrets

sounds dirty

I want to know what Russians think about the Russian scenes

The words are needed to bring out the Winter Soldier (Classical Conditioning thing). The zaps were used whenever he becomes faulty in WS mode (bits of memory fading in, not focused, etc).

I can't speak Russian but I also realized Zemo's Russian is bad but totally understandable since he's Sokovian anyway/from another country.

>when will my suffering end

>dirty secrets
>Widow was gangbanged constantly in the Red Room
Red in mah ledger ;)))))

Why are there so many trigger words in the first place? Seems like three or four words would work just as well.

Yeah, why would they ever want him to not be in Winter Soldier mode at all times. Shouldn't the reset button for him or whatever be an easier one?

So Karpov and Bucky's accents were fine, but the Russian was written strangely or incorrectly?
Is that what I'm getting?

Sokovian should be familiar with Russian? Genuinely wondering.

Wouldn't you want a good password for something you treasure/want to hide?

He complies to anyone who says the words. I imagine Hydra doesn't want the password to be easy because Bucky could potentially spill the beans to anyone who can easily open him up.

It's located around Slovakia or the Balkans so probably not.

>SHIELD triumphing in the face of overwhelming odds to make the world a better place
>End credit scene is Robert Redford and the HYDRA parasite laughing for thirty seconds and winking at the camera.

Using the CGI thing to make him look young.

Why is he so cute Sup Forums?

He can't help it.
